The first update took a few minutes and i didnt even notice it. Now i downloaded this 9gb patch and its been stuck at 60% applying for 30 minutes. I cant even play any other games on my hard drive because its taking so long, when i try playing anything else it just freezes. What the heck is up with this launcher?

it is probably implementing ccp botnet and looks at your data how you can be corrupted

I believe that this patch, like the 1.04 patch, downloads and then unpacks about 40 GB of your game data to your cyberpunk2077/!temp folder to update.

About 60% of the total progress is when the patch stops downloading and then starts using your disk space (which is likely slower than downloading), so it makes sense that it would start slowing your system down if you try to do something else.

I also have this problem. Every patch takes forever at the point where downloading the whole game again is faster for me....

The patches are like 1 Go at most but applying the patches takes 2 hours!!! Worst patch implementation ever.
Also I've monitored the speed of moving datas for the patch and I average 14 Mo/s. So in 2 hours I got 100.8 Go of data moved or modified.... The game is less than 75 Go.... Having an SSD is clearly not the issue there. Everytime there is a problem on any game now people always talks about buying an SSD.... HDD data rates are enough to run and update games. Even the heavier ones.

OK... I'll admit, I laughed way too damn hard at that. Good one.
