It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Strange...

Have you logged into the wrong account?

Have you actually installed the game? If yes, you can simply start it through the windows start menu. (Or hit Win-S and type pillars...).

"Connect now" means, you're not logged into Galaxy, which means it can't download and install games. You should be able to start games that are already installed.

If you have not yet installed the game and can't get Galaxy working, simply download the installer files from your account through your browser, put them all into one folder and install the game from there.

Hmm. don't know about MacOS. But you should be able to simply start the game without the client anyway. Just close the Galaxy client and try launching it throw the desktop ("Finder"?).
Sorry, must be off to bed now. I'm sure some other (maybe more Mac-affine) user will be able to help you.
