Backstory: I am a single recently unemployed 34-year-old male. For the past 18 years, I was working at a furniture assembly factory where there is a lot of heavy lifting involved. I was recently diagnosed with permanent major lower back arthritis, nerve inflammation in my right knee. I do suffer from regular migraines. I live with my 70-year-old disabled mother in a small apartment. I was born in poverty and so could not afford college.

Due to the deadly disease, I cannot work any heavy lifting job anymore. I have applied to other easier retail jobs but no luck so far. I REFUSE to go on welfare. I have been collecting unemployment benefit checks for the past two months. I would like to be a part time youtuber and have that as a second job while I hopefully get a full time permanent job.

I am hoping that I get at least 1000 subscribers and 4000 views so that I can monetize my youtube channel. I don’t’ want to be left homeless.

Farmert if you're going to try and use youtube to support yourself you really need to improve your videos. A quick google shows you need 1,000,000 views monetized by rollout ads, to earn $5,000-$8,000. You need really good content

So at least if they are games they need commentary and a full play through of each game. But think creatively about interests or knowledge you have that may have an audience.

Once you have good content, post links/imbed video on 1000s of forums. I did a google of your youtube link and you've only posted it here, like I say you need to post on 1000s of forums, but get good content first. Then there's twitter facebook etc etc. Until then the social safety net is there for a reason, don't be too proud to make use of it.

There are a lot of "foreigners" in this forum. I am sure, someone can teach and assist you the learning the foreign language you want to learn for free.
This will give you some more chance as a translator, as another option to youtube. Its also possible to find programmers and scriptors on this forum. In USSR (and now in Russia) we have free education, including University. I am also sure that some major univerities have free courses on youtube. Just thinking out of the box to help you...
