Ah, I'm sorry to hear that, mate. I've lost quite a few pets in my time and it doesn't get any easier no-matter how many times it happens.

Not that it will make it any easier, but indeed, 19 years is a long life for a dog, shows you took good care of her. And the memories will always be yours to keep.

My condolences. I had a dog taken from me when she was 8 years old by animal control. Maybe it was for the best since it was evident her health was deteriorating and started missing teeth and hair and had irresolvable flea issues, but the way she was taken was so unfair. Her companion, another dog, ended up dying possibly of worms a month later.

I hope you appreciated each other very much before she passed. It's so hard to lose something or someone you loved and loved you back.
