What they sell for $2 is the "chance" to get a 1080Ti, or possibly something else. It goes on to say you can gift yourself something unknown and who knows, maybe it'll be a 1080Ti. It doesn't say you're buying a 1080Ti.

They get a 550Ti or similar and then flash the BIOS with the 1080Ti BIOS so your PC thinks it's a 1080Ti. But it's not. And if a game tries to use a 1080Ti tech that the actual card doesn't have, then it crashes.

You have a rather complicated forum name with all that numbers in it. Your quote under the name is much easier to remember, so micktiegs was referring to you as Forum ET guy. I see no insult in this. All other posts refer to the Wish site, not to you.

When I was a kid back in the 1990's, there used to be a junk shop in the town I lived. They basically sold cheap stuff, that was almost like brand stuff, but not quite. Like they had Batman figures, but Batman was almost full red, but it was cheap and it looked like Batman, so you know, why not.

I think Wish is a bit like that. But instead of a little town, it exists in the net where the sellers really don't care about what the things actually are and if they're properly licensed or even strictly legal. And their main customers don't really care either because red Batman is better than no Batman, right?

We had one of this shops too! It was so cool. They had like everything for cheap: consoles, books, musical instruments. But you had to be very quick, because there was always some guy who bought everything away. Once I saw a Playstation for 10 bucks, and I swear, I just blinked and it was gone. Somebody bought it right away before my eyes. It was like seeing The Flash going on a shopping spree.
