micktiegs_8: Wow... should you be on the internet?

Yes, it's a joke. The world is doomed if you actually thought I was serious in the slightest.
avatar
paladin181: Well, to be fair, I don't know you that well, Mickey, and have you SEEN some of the geniuses we have here and the things they get indignant about?
You're right, I apologize. I'm having a lot of trouble keeping my spirits up of late so being short with people is an unfortunate side-effect.

micktiegs_8: Yes, this is the result :p

It was the 'forum ET' guy... can't remember his name though.

Also yes, I'm not that gullible to believe I can get a $1500 graphics card for $2; it was most definitely for giggles, and curiosity.

plagren: And what makes you think there is no recourse with Wish?
The precursory look at "wish.com reviews" on the net. LOTS and LOTS of "item didn't match description" "Item was never received and no refund issued" and the like. Didn't even have to look hard.

No problems man. My wittle feewings weren't hurt. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to finish peeling this onion. *sniff*
It could be worse. At least you didn't get a bobcat.
I have some WLAN cables to sell, if someone wants to buy them!

I love the xkcd reference! :-D

micktiegs_8: Oh you wouldn't believe it, I got the package today!
Take a look at the advertised item against the received one I've attached.
What a rip-off for $2... I'm suing.
Just think... in a few months that package would cost include GST... and may in the near future attract a *scanning charge* (totally for security purposes... and not as a govt revenue raiser) of another $2-7

nightcraw1er.488: The main difference I see it is that with those two you have some recourse.

Look at reviews for any site, and you'll find a lot of negative ones. I have a feeling most people won't go out of their way to review a site unless they've had a negative experience. On TrustPilot eBay actually has a lower score than Wish - which means nothing to me, I'll still be using eBay way more. I also searched SiteJabber's reviews (as they actually have a search feature) for "refund" and at least the first page of results was split pretty evenly between those who got one and those who didn't.

That sucks - but it's also a completely different issue.

Also, I'm not saying Wish is the greatest site ever created. Most of the stuff sold of there are cheap Chinese knockoffs. But it's really no different to any other site selling cheap Chinese knockoffs. You get what you pay for, and all that.
Ahahaha!

I'm so glad you guys updated this. I was in suspense this whole time.

But we need to know how that graphics card actually performs...

Hey I'm an Aussie and I don't get it either

Me too (+1 joppo). :)

For the uninitiated:
'A-Minus-Minus', 'Packages' and 'Hemingway'.

The context is indeed missing and I think it was that the OP bought a GPU online for 2$ for lols.

Ok I don't even know what this $2 GPU thing is, a real thing or a new internet meme, like "LEEEROY JEEEENKINS!"?

Tomorrow I will buy a $2 car.

EDIT: Now I know, saw the earlier thread.

I tried wish a while back for Dr dre beats and got a fake pair for 5 dollars. it does work and sounds decent. but hey 5 dollars for a pair of burner headphones for when I bike ride or just do rough things.

But that 2 dollar card LOL. If that happened to me, I would have sent one of my lawyers and have a field day with the company and enjoy the outcome of what is possible. won't be the first time I did it.
Bury the package in a hole in your backyard and water it. Maybe after a couple of weeks you'll get that beast in your second photo.
So... the website is actually "pretend" rather than "wish" ?
