Hello,

I have a problem. For the last month I've played Wasteland 2: Directors Cut on Xbox App with Xbox Game Pass. Today is the last day of my subscription. I noticed that I have a copy of this game on my GOG account. :) And here is my problem:

Can I move/transfer game saves from Xbox App version to GOG version?

Both are Director's Cut version.

In theory yes, but it depends on how the Xbox app DRM works. Hopefully it doesn't do anything silly like encrypt the save files or have them cloud only.
afaik Xbox Game Pass saves are formatted differently to normal PC versions.
I played W3 ( know you are asking about W2) on XB Gamepass and couldnt transfer saves and when I looked into it, I found they were incompatible with normal saves.
I would never play a game on XBGP except to see if I liked it prior to buying it elsewhere.
Hope that helps.

I'm not sure. I found an instruction on how to transfer saves from Xbox App to Steam. In Xbox App version game saves are files like "2CA9336CA0FF44DC95EB979FEBB0AC98" without any extension. Instruction says to move these files to steam game saves folder and add ".savegame" extension. I tried this method to move to GOG, but unfortunately after launching game via GOG, there is nothing in "Load Game".

it doesnt sound good. When I started the game a month ago I was convinced that there would be no problems with the transfer of the save files. That all "platforms" store save files in the same form. Unfortunately, I have to count that maybe someone managed to do it.
