I have limited space on my C drive and want to know if it is possible to move my game installations to a different drive? If so, is there a specific way it has to be done?

You can buy USB sticks \ external hard drive \ discs, and just save the installers on to that.

That's the beauty of DRM-free. ( :

Just move the entire folder from C:\ to whereever else you want the game to reside and you should be good.

I did just that a while back with a couple games (like The Witcher 3) I couldn't be arsed to install again, and apart from having to reinstall things like old versions of Visual Studio/.NET or DirectX 9.0 (transfer from a Win7 to a Win10 machine in my case) it was a more or less smooth transition. Registry entries (if at all needed) should be taken care of when first starting the game again after the transfer and if it's still the same machine there should be no problems with already existing config files and saves too.

Thank you for confirming this! I've moved Steam games before but I wasn't sure how to move my GOG games safely. Thanks again!

Download the offline installers, back these up offline with your saves and mods and patches etc. Frees up space on main drive, has a simple reinstall process, storage space for installers is far smaller etc. Better in every way and it is the point of drm free.

Just to add on to this and the other great comments in this topic, another great benefit to having extra storage like that is that you can keep multiple versions of the installers so if the game gets updates, you can still keep the old installer in case you preferred to have one from the way the game was originally (I also recommend testing out any new updated version you download in order to make sure it works properly, before deleting an older version. Unfortunately, there were a couple now-fixed cases where the updated version of a game didn't work without GOG's optional Galaxy client).
