Dorkness over 9000.

The Gamers, a 5-part comedic fantasy series firmly based in the nerdiest corners of the role-playing games fandom, is available up to 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $15.15 for the whole collection: Humans & Households, Hands of Fate, Dorkness Rising, Natural One, and the one that started it all, The Gamers (Director’s Cut), for the first four days.

One late night in a college dorm, four socially inept geeks immerse themselves in a fantasy world of their own creation. As their characters journey through forbidden kingdoms, ancient ruins, and the forsaken wilderness, the players attempt to solve a mysterious puzzle that could ultimately mean the difference between getting a life and death. Who is The Shadow? Where is The Princess hidden? Will any of them ever find a date? And how long do they have before their annoyed neighbors call the cops? So many questions, and that's only the first of the many adventures that lie ahead of our the bold party of heroes!

Get the whole series of The Gamers movies on GOG.com and save 60%, or get 40% discount on movies purchased separately. The special launch discount offer lasts until Tuesday, October 7, at 2:29PM GMT.
We need "River City Rumble" from X-Strike Studios. Make it happen, GOG.

Other than that, yeah, this looks cool.
Hm, these look really cheesy and low-budget, but in a good sense, according to the positive reviews so far. Buying them all seems like overkill, but I think I'll bite and check out the first one, just to see what the fuss is about. Sounds like a reasonable plan, yes?
*sigh* Darn you GOG! I already have Dorkness rising and Hands of Fate (Original and Directors/UnCut) and now I'm going to buy the whole set on here -_- GRRR!!!! :P
Saw the start of this on Youtube, was quite funny. I guess this will be my first gog movie purchase then.

Ditto... Watched the first two movies for years. This is my first movie purchase; Although the two things i haven't watched i'm not sure i would qualify as movies. Humans & Households Playing in reverse of D&D games where how silly and stupid things are, and yet seen from a different unfamiliar perspective how silly things are; And yet it's how things are in the games half the time not due to stupidity, but certain lack of visuals that otherwise things would be completely obvious.

Hmmm... Maybe they should release other dead gentlemen products, even if they are free. (Journey Quest for example...)

Oh god, an oldie from before they made Dorkness Rising:

Sympathetic Ninja Vampires!

edit: apparently it's suppose to be Syphilitic Ninja Vampires...

Any chance of getting the extended version of Hands of Fate?
Well i havent seen any of these but love the idea so bought it and so far having a lot of fun watching the first 2, At 60% off well worth the price.
I haven't bought a movie in gog yet, but would want to know the format of the subtitles. Are they a separate file, or are integrated in the movie?
Sorry for the bad english

BUJA! Ey, damn it. I just payed 15$ for Dark Dungeons only on their homepage.
Still, I don't regret it, these guys deserve it.

Thanks GOG for the full series!

Smannesman: "Well those technologies didn't exist back then so obviously you're stupid for believing that."
Is the 720p version actually just upscaled? Or aren't 720p files available at all?

Anyway, you people are throwing "false advertising" around far too much lately. Every single time I heard it on the forums lately it was about some minor issue where someone from GOG staff obviously just accidentally provided wrong information that was fixed as soon as someone mentioned it - I'm pretty sure that "false advertizing" implies that wrong information is provided deliberately. And of course there were cases where the accusation was simply wrong to begin with. So, which one is it this time?

First of all I'm not 'you people', I'm a paying customer who is a bit disappointed that GOG is misrepresenting information.
I've not asked for my money back and I'm not screaming and yelling and making annoying topics about it either.
But I do think I have the right to be disappointed.

And if you're actually interested and not just lashing out, here's a pastebin with some information.

Pretend that I just said "people". :p

Okay, that seems pretty bad. In this case I really hope that someone from GOG staff saw your posts and that they will alter the description soon and try to get a genuine 720p version.

And nah, really not lashing out, just kinda frustrated with people crying wolf all the time and making GOG staff appear like assholes for making simple errors.
Totally Boughted!

I remember "Dorkness rising" as being wonderfully dumb fun. Rented it from the last mum and dad DVD place we had here before they closed. Had one of those memberships that gave free rentals each month and if we had no desire to pick up anything we had not yet seen then Dorkness Rising was usually the one we would gravitate to first for a re-watch. I'm not sure I even realised it was part of a series at the time. Didn't matter. It was perfectly watchable as a stand alone film.

These are my first Movies bought here. Already downloading as I type this. Really looking forward to not only seeing Dorkness Rising again, but to see the others for the first time.
