zeffyr: They won't - the multiplayer mode is based on battle.net infrastructure so there is no possibility to convert the game into DRM-free version without rebuilding (or building again) major part of the game, which will, as I said before, not happen.

It's OK though, the games are still available and the support for them is enormous - buy them directly from Blizz, they're worth it :-)
There is no reason why they couldn't offer you a serial key with your GOG purchase to use it on Battle.net for multiplayer. I mean, Far Cry 1+2 on GOG already require a Uplay account for multiplayer.

By RPG standards we are still missing System Shock 1, Vampires Bloodlines, and the first 5 Wizardry games.

The key is needed to install the game, so they would be forced to rebuild it anyway. No chance, but no whining at all - they're easily available from Blizz directly and worth their price :)

There are already games on GOG that needed a serial to be installed in their original versions (Neverwinter Nights 1+2). Like I said, it isn't as difficult as you make it out to be. It's mostly a case of whether Blizzard wants to sell their games outside their store. So far, they don't seem to be willing to do so.

Fun fact for Blizzard games with serials. The serial is required for installing, and for playing on Battle.net. Since Diablo 2 was portable, one could install it, change its serial to anything, then move it to another computer and play. Attempting to connect to Battle.net would give a "This key is not a valid Diablo 2 key" instead of the usual "This key is not valid for Battle.net play".

Fun times :)

Mount and Blade warband also requires a serial key for multiplayer.

Thanks for the link, makes me aware of what does require a serial key.
Space and Flight Sim/Shooter and other Sim
Cities: Skylines entered the list from #6, pushing Theme Park World (aka Sim Theme Park) out. Starlancer now has more votes than SimTower: The Vertical Empire.
Missing stuff, Superior Versions...
Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge entered the list from #1, pushing Neverwinter Nights: Wyvern Crown of Cormyr out.

I have noticed GOG made a good decision for not marking Monkey Island 2as completed. Something I guess they should have done for The Secret of Monkey Island as well.
Crowdfunded
Prison Architect is officially confirmed for release and therefore left the list. Grim Dawn entered the list.
Darkest Dungeon now has more votes than Underworld Ascendant.
HuniePop now has more votes than Starbound.
Planetary Annihilation now has more votes than Carmageddon: Reincarnation.
Wait...there is a wishlist for Underword Ascendant?! You could have just told me our rivers turned to red!
