Starship Titanic
Box was really neat.
Paid $59.99

Star Trek Unity
Paid $49.99
Game kept saying not original disc, right out of the box.
Game company (I think Aclaim) wouldnt help.
Didn't know what a crack was until this happened.
DayZ and I regret buying it. It's probably the most regrettable game I've ever bought.
Grand Theft Auto V + Megalodon Shark Card for 51,82€. Then I bought one more Megalodon Shark Card for 44,99€.
Sniper Elite (PS2) used, years after release, for $60. That was before it became a "cult hit" and spawned various ports and sequels.

One of only 4 games I have ever paid full price for...

Assassin's Creed Black Flag -- one of my favorite pirate games of all time!

God of War -- worth every cent! Another of my all-time favorites.

Red Dead Redemption 2 -- a waste of $60 IMHO

I have toyed with buying some collector's editions for much more ($100+), but I never have "pulled the cord." I just can't justify that amount... even with a cool dragon figure or a Conan statue.i

i76? The game wasn't that expensive, but last time I checked, it didn't even run beyond the first little bit.
"If the game market goes ONLINE,
the prices will drop because they won't have to
press CD/DVDs, box them up , and ship to stores, blah blah blah...."

Well some of the current prices for games are more expensive
then the old physical CD system.
and......
there's no longer Bargain Bin finds!
-Any wow collector's edition that I got my hands on, I got my money's worth each time.

-White Knight Chronicles (WKC), oh boy. This is my most regrettable purchase. I have many PS3 games or collection of games (as in DMC collection, Ico+Shadow of the Colossus etc.) that I never even played, but WKC takes the cake because I saw some gameplay vids and was overhyped only to be eventually let down when I actually played the actual game and found it plainly boring.

Themken: Fallout 3 for €76.
Five minutes into the first dlc I got fed up with Fallout. That was ten years ago and I still did not return. A total waste to buy the base game and then the GOtY the next year to get 4/5 dlcs that I never played (but for the few minutes it took me to accept the first quest).
That's a shame, New Vegas was far better, both in terms of the base game and in terms of the DLC. IMHO only Operation Anchorage and Mothershp Zeta were really worth playing.

New Vegas had much better DLC available. Dead Money in particular was a wonderful break from the regular gameplay.
Hmmm... The most i've ever paid for a single game was $40. Though honestly the Bloodrayne 2 for Xbox seemed a more expensive purchase.

hedwards:
I just now checked my box and it seems I was wrong and it had all five dlcs, mothership Zeta included. My intention has always been to return to the Fallout world but somehow the only rpg I ever seem to play is Mount & Blade with short forays into others (at least Diablo, Divine Divinity, The Witcher, Torchlight.... all for several hours but left on pause for ages).

I won New Vegas in a giveaway but but... that craving for Fallout seems to only have resurfaced the day I entered for that, terribly sorry whoever it was who gave it to me (a look tells me it was Doc0075).

Not adding any more rpgs to my backlog. Nope no no and especially not from giveaways.

Maybe not "overpriced", but when I bought it I was expecting to see the printed manuals in the box. :-(

That's the second reason I rarely buy physical releases anymore (1st=DRM). Even collector's editions started replacing printed documentation with (often low quality) toys.
CIV VI

It didn't come with AI, but at least it came with really extensive spyware. Always something.

The 80% of my steam collection I'll never play is probably it for me.

But for games over played...

Probably company of heroes 2. CoH1 was better in every way, so I only played coh2 very briefly.
After some thinking. Star Wars: The Old Republic is a strong contender. Bought it at release and remember it being quite expensive, but I had a great time. But the game turned F2P so quickly that you couldn't help but feel ripped off, especially if you had no interest in the F2P-model. The compensation was some useless in-game items to show-off to other placers so that they knew that you were there at the beginning.
