Playing "Overlord", I replayed the same sequence for over two hours just to make sure none of my minions died (even though they are easily replaced, but I get attached darn it!)

Cyanosis: Whether it was something unconventional, weird, funny, etc.

I killed 10,000 people in my second playthrough of POSTAL 2's Monday through Friday game last year just to see if I could, and to outdo the first time I completed it with 5,700 kills in 2009, and it felt like the most pointless and biggest waste of time after I did it.

Ikarugamesh: Is that the highest rank you can attain? I got "Hitler would be proud" by killing "only" 2609 people. Wow, killing 10k people is a long endeavor, I salute you!
Yeah the Satan rank is the highest and can be acquired by killing over 4000 people, because the population of Paradise is 4000 exact. ;)

kusumahendra: Morrowind is just this kind of interesting mess

Fenixp: I wouldn't really call it a mess, to me, that particular skill system makes the most sense of all the RPGs I have played. You get better at things by doing these things. I'm not entirely sure why don't you just cheat huge amounts of money and get trainers to increase your skills to decent amount as opposed to waste power by having your PC on trough the night, but okay, I guess that's a way too :D

Incidentally, when I've had way too much time on my hands, I played like 50 hours of Morrowind with a character that made money using alchemy, collecting herbs and sneaking out of trouble whenever possible (I did have mod to make fauna less aggressive.) I didn't even do any quests. Just... That.
You know what, your comment reminds me of other absurd thing I did with Morrowind.

Back in the day, that game was so hard for me so I cheat. I use hex editor to edit my save file and give me money. Lots of money. So much that I don't need money anymore until I finish playing that character. Back then I didn't know about console command yet.

Yeah, mess is not the right word to describe what I mean. What I really mean is the ability to mess around in the game so much that it breaks the game so hard. Morrowind let us do this probably more than any other game. You know what, I kinda miss this ability to mess around and break it in newer games. Developer nowadays tends to make sure we can finish the game no matter how awful we play
X-com...
with the only weapons that I used were the ones you could purchase. So just ballistic weapons - no lasers, plasma, advanced armor, etc. Only the Avenger was allowed for the final mission. Tough as hell but doable.

Terror from the deep... oh god! The lobstermen and damn near invulnerability to anything but sonic. Never accomplished that feat.

Beat Zelda 2, without first completing the 6 palaces. It involves a rather ridiculous glitch; I activate it in the mountain village Darunia with Jump+Fairy (much easier than the methods speedrunners use), and once it's activated, the graphics start to glitch, resulting in the graphics not matching what's actually there.

With minor tool assistance (rewind when falling into a pit), I was able to beat the game after triggering the glitch. Doing it without tool assistance should be quite doable, provided you've memorized the areas. (One room is tricky, as you need to fall in a specific spot to continue, and the graphical distortion means you can't see that spot.)

Edit: Added the word "Beat" to the start of the post.

When I originally played through Ultima Underworld, after finishing all the quests for each settlement, I'd commit genocide on them, massacring each and every last one of them. It was a blast to watch each settlement erupt into a momentous battle with the entire settlement coming after me at once. "Bob! You killed Bob! Get the bastard!" The only settlement I left alive was the Zombie settlement, because I liked them and, well, they were pretty fucked to begin with and my character was maxed out at that point from killing all the other ones. "Sorry people, you have to die. You're mere utility to my character's personal advancement."

I remember when I was organizing the local IGDA chapter, I told them this and they had horrified looks in response. As if to say "You're not supposed to do that!!!"

dtgreene: On the other hand, I have raised my fatigue high above its maximum, then made a huge jump, and when landing, I took negative damage, raising my health way above its maximum. (Does this make sense?)
LOL!

Nothing beats "Doug the Eagle's" "Anti-walkthroughs" for absurdity.

The spell I used to do that is also ridiculous. It does 2 things:

1. Drains the stats that determine fatigue to 0 for one second, except that one of the stats remains at one so the game doesn't have to worry about dividing by zero.
2. Fortifies fatigue 100 points for 1 second.

This gives me a low max fatigue and a high current fatigue. When 1 wears off, the game raises my max fatigue back to normal, and proportionately raises my current fatigue. When 2 wears off, I only lose 100 fatigue, even though the 100 point game was magnified by 1 wearing off.

This also works for spell points. If you want near-limitless magicka, just Frain your Intelligence to 1 and Fortify Magicka 100 points, all for 1 second.

You can't do this with health, but as I mentioned, fortifying fatigue and then jumping will do the trick. (Note that Drain Acrobatics will, I believe, magnify the negative damage you take when you land.)

Morrowind's magic system can be abused in so many ways, and it's not the only thing in that game that can be abused.
This?

Another one: I played through Game Center CX 2 (Nintendo DS game that was only released in Japan) without any translation (though I looked up a solution to get me past the text adventure).

Furthermore, I played the RPG subgame, Guadia Quest Saga. Not only did I play it in Japanese, but I also managed to beat the game (on a second playthrough) without upgrading armor. (I still allowed myself to upgrade weapons, and I found the Green (midori) Guadia to be incredibly useful with the HP and MP drain attacks it provides.)

I have plans to play through Wizardry Gaiden 4 without a translation. (I will set the enemy, item, spell, stat names to English, but that doesn't affect things like NPC dialogue and dungeon messages.)

An epic game based on an epic movie. :) I keep meaning to go back and play it some more (before Flash-based media dies out entirely), but I just can't seem to give a shit about browser games anymore.

This HAS to be the single MOST absurd thing i have EVER done in one video game...

Sid Meier's Pirates, the new that just arrived here on gog, the 2004 Remake. After going quickly through the main story and all collectibles/achievements in 20 years game's time, in 4 more years i attacked ALL cities in the Caribbean and turned them all DUTCH! I fully eliminated and eradicated Spain, England and France, with the help of pirate captains and war Indians, who softened their garrisoned soldiers and thinned their ranks quite well! I really enjoyed a long outburst of Strategy touch in this wonderful game!
