Dragon Age 2 is a good game in general but technically not even nearly a milestone... it feels pretty raw, even for the "old standards" on the PS3 and Xbox 360 era. It plays pretty much like Veilguard, just with the very old tech of course.

Dragon Age Origin is special because it is sharing the same name, yet on console this game was a totally different game which can be played on a gamepad and just very different in many aspects. I like both games but i am more used to the console version. In my mind the best Dragon Age ever made, both versions... it simply was their golden age.

Inquisition i never played so i can not say much about... it should be the technically most improved retro version.

Veilguard is a difficult matter and i do not want to judge its gameplay including the new DEI now. In a purely technical aspect it is very taxing, even on the best hardware, but i only tested it on PS5 Pro for now. I still do not consider the graphic impressive... simply updated to the current "standard" but not beyond this 08/15 spec. Yet i still did not see much of the game, i was to busy with other things.

Ubisoft: No clue... this company is almost over for me. The last game i had i mind to buy from them, Avatar... i had the intention to pay over 100 hard Swiss coins, yet i was giving it back the moment i noticed it was Ubisoft-account-locked even on console. I did not bother with and was "reimbursing" this deal.

Star Wars Outlaw... same issue, however... i did not bother buying it anymore (not even intended...) as i knew the deal by now... which is bad. I could currently get the Steelbook for around 55 coins but i just do not care... as long as it is account locked, several times at once. If i could only buy the Steelbook without the game... okay... lets ask 10 coins for and i buy it. I will put it into my shelf and look at it. If there is dust i will clean it... i am not to lazy cleaning a shelf. The game they can keep for themself... unless they create a new unlocked version... will pay over 100 after, no issue.

If the same issue will happen on Assassins Creed Shadow, i will as well cancel the preorder instantly. I only have it on preorder because of the "Steelbook" is included but... perhaps it could run out of stock. So far no clue if it will be "Ubisoft-account locked" on console but if so... i will give it back just the same way i did it with Avatar. If i know it "on time" (before release date) i will cancel preorder instantly. Zero tolerance for excessive DRM and i got near 1000 other great games i can play in the near future.

The newest Ubisoft game i got in my collection is probably Anno 1404 from GOG which is now already 14 years of age... no newer game from this company anymore for obvious reasons.

I think people really go over the top in a negative way about games like Dragon Age - The veilguard.

I am playing that game right now, and I really have a fun time with it. And I don't feel I need to give any excuse for that. Why the hell should I? Yes - The game is far from a masterpiece, but it's also far from a absolute disaster. It's a moderately above mediocre game (say 7 to 7.5 out of 10) for me. Even on Steam a majority (71%) thinks the game is good enough. That's about 2/3 of the people that bought the game, so to insulting all those people is not very polite to say the least.

By the way. Before somebody asks. Yes I have played Origin and all the (non-cosmetic) DLC's. And even long before that game was available here on GOG. The same goes for Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Shards (sorry - Inquisition). I liked all of them (except those shards). I would really like to see Dragon Age The Veilguard here on GOG too. Chances for this game are (indeed) higher than for Dragon Age II, and especially Dragon Age Inquisition, because the reliance on The Keep for instance (although there are fan "start save" editors around that do the same as The Keep, but completely off-line).

And now we are busy anyway, let's let's kick around a bit more, and see if Starfield can also come to GOG. We already have all the Elder Scrolls games and Fallout games over here, so Starfield should be a big possibility too, And yes - Before you ask. I like that game too. Ain't I am a really terrible, terrible person? ;-).

Regarding the Veilguard matter, i currently consider me neutral. I do not see it as "the best Dragen Age ever made", but it surely can be enjoyed and it got up to date graphics for some good immersion.

Starfield is another story. I do consider me a "space shooter lover" so it surely could be on "my list". However, although it is hard to judge without playing it myself, from what i was able to "notice" the game is graphically top notch but any other aspect is simply "the boring average"... and just being average is simply not good enough in a time there are already several high rated space shooters available with as well solid graphics: Everspace 2, No Mans Sky and another very interesting title "SpaceBourne 2". The competition is simply strong at the current time. Still, if they ever release it on GOG for a cheap price... i may still get it.

Weird enough, although the rating of Starfield is pretty weak, there was still 15 million gamers buying it... so at least Bethesda surely did not experience a financial loss and it is probably "the best selling weak rated game ever"... pretty unique.

Something slightly changed between the release of the last Elder Scrolls and Fallout games and Starfield the Cat.

For one, I think everyone realized how tepid the GSC has become, given you can find roots of issues that date back to Xengine era of the company.

For two, a small merger occurred.
