Dear GOG's,
I really would like to see a more systematic overview on ratings and reviews of videogames... It just goes asymmetric in one direction and you don't have any options to filter the ratings (and reviews). - Maybe, you guys wanna rethink that. Thanks!

Best regards,

that's actually not a bad idea.
And instagram effects.
Do people really trust what they read? I always do a search and watch a few trailers before committing.

Sure, me too. But that's including reading reviews on GOG-Galaxy too. I haven't bought Seven: The Days... without reading reviews on GOG.
I've asked for this a few times myself. Here are some wishlist entries.

Sort reviews by date
Browse reviews by rating
low rated

Don't trust anything read here on Gog by other user's as they are mostly 6 year olds.
But if they will be transparent won't they be really hard to read?

did you just switch your avatar to Pinky?

Sorting reviews by date, helpfulness and ratings was dropped when the site was revamped back in Sep 2014. Restoration of this feature has been suggested multiple times over the past 3 years, but it doesn't look like GOG's going to bring this feature back.

For those not averse to using userscripts, fellow adaliabooks offers this, and a number of other features, in his script Adalia Fundamentals.

I meant that more in a rhetorical way... On the contrary, you made a point.

Well ratings for now are slightly less transparent. As pointed out by Wormwood Studios on Twitter, GOG game cards no longer show the number of ratings a title has.
I find the gamer reviews to be nearly worthless. Most reviews consist of: "I loved this game as a kid...". Well how does a rosy childhood memory from 20-30 years ago help an adult now with far newer systems and game choices? We are all far more accepting, and much less critical, when it comes to playing games as children.

I wish reviews were only written by people who'd played the game recently, preferably for the first time, and could comment on how it runs on modern systems, flaws/issues with GOG's adaptation, mod/patch options, how it compares with other games, etc. I also wish GOG made game updates viewable BEFORE buying a game, not just after. That way, if I see a post in 2015 that says the game has say, stuttering issues, and I see a 2016 GOG patch that fixes stuttering, I know that part of the review no longer applies. As it is,I have no idea if problems mentioned in a review have been addressed or not.

I love GOG but honestly... the forum options leave a lot to be desired.

Err... okay? Bug I hope? Are they are trying to hide games they may not have sold well? o.O

Anyway, I agree with OP completely even suggested it a few days ago... alas GOG never does anything we actually want.
