awesome, one of my favorite indie titles.

Yes, one of the few to get retro right imo. I got it for near full price when it came out and didn't regret spending that money on it at all.

yeah me too. i don't see why people think it should cost less (there was much complaining over the price point); it's well made, has satisfying controls, and has a wonderfully consistent art style.
I'd like an update of the discount :P
I liked Plague Knight's story parts, but I really hated how he controls I couldn't even finish his expansion.

I'd like a free Steam key ;)

In my situation, although I never complained about the price or discounts (or lack thereof), it's a case of it not being in my favored genre. More along the lines of something I'd be curious about trying if it were the right price. My backlog is so huge that many games are in this situation, (although I don't hesitate to grab full priced games in my preferred genres). I think many of the people that were commenting about the price are likely in the same category.

(I should note, though, that I actually have both a 3DS and PC copy of the game, so I ain't that cheap!)
That's excellent news! I just recently enjoyed the game, finishing it both as Shovel Knight and as Plague Knight.
I bought it here at a discount for roughly 10€, but this game is definitely worth its full price!
The new knight moves like 8-bit Ninja Gaiden.
つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Gimme.
No estimated release date for any Update quite yet.
Hopefully it's sometime this year.

Actually, the aerial attack somewhat reminds me of the main character's aerial attack in Dust: An Elysian Tail, which draws the character to the nearest enemy, and can be used in some areas to gain height (and there's at least one secret that can only be reached this way).

To true, 33% again this time. Might just take it off the wish list.

Yeah, that's me too. Oldskool 2D platformers are not really my thing anymore, so the SK trailer didn't really convince me either, apart from the wonderful music (which unfortunately is apparently only trailer music, the game music is different).

I was still somewhat interested because it gets so much praise everywhere, so I finally bought it when it was on sale a month or two ago on GOG. I've yet to install and play it though, and now this news about new content makes me feel maybe I should postpone it even further, just to get the "complete experience". :)

I should also mention that I liked LIMBO (which is a 2D platformer), played it through a couple of years ago. I liked the art style and the atmosphere, even though in the end the game left more questions than answers (ie. things you see and meet are not explained later; like there was a mystery to solve but it didn't let you solve it).

There is a way to just start the campaign with Plague Knight even if you haven't completed it with Shovel Knight.
I'm guessing that will be the case with the other campaigns as well so you can just play it now.
