Since beaches have been mentioned, here's me and my sheep - 'scuse me, meep friend Herbert enjoying a day at the beach under the ever-growing space plant ... thing.

Seriously, Grow Home feels like a vacation from games in which things want to murder me.

Not in, btw, but as always, I appreciate this contest.

I'm in.

The first thing I think of when it comes to a vaction is a beautiful beach in the carribbean. Sitting back in my lawn chair sipping on koolaide with the cool ocean breeze in my hair. This screenshot of a sunrise on a beach is from the game "Crysis".

Driftmoon was the first game that came to my mind, so here is a screenshot from it.

Life gets boring. Sometimes you just need to let loose and party until you pass out on the couch with a gun in your hand.

edit: I did not read the vacation descriptor. I guess I was tired when posting those :P

Next time. Pics removed!

Still not in, but wouldn't feel right to bump without a picture ... where else would you go for a vacation, wasting money and whatnot, if not Vegas? It's fabulous, after all.

While beaches are nice, I'd actually prefer a nice and quiet cabin in some snowy woods for my ideal holiday :-)
I've always preferred winter to summer. Hot chocolate in the summer just isn't as fun ;-)

*final bump*
Huh. Vaction. Yes, well… umm. Let me think about this.
Welcome back mss, hope you had a great vacation! We (I) are eagerly waiting for the pics...

I think this bucolic setting would be a really nice place to relax for a while... well, IF were it not for all the zombies, walkers and whatnot.

I used to go to some place like that when a kid, it was also a cookie factory. Unfortunately, most of the people that lived there are now dead. (not so different from the game, I guess)

In my mind, a ship usually indicates vacation especially if it's summer. And of course, what vacation would be if you weren't holding a map, huh? :)

Both pics are from The Curious Expedition. ;)

NOT IN.

To me, vacations are not just about the destination, but how to get there. Sometimes anticipating a vacation is almost as fun as going. Here's my pic from Dark Messiah:

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m95/Aeroldoth/l04_b0000_zpsb5zizg25.jpg

It's a large sailing ship, with crates full of unknown contents yet to be loaded. Food, supplies, treasures... what could be in them? I like the lighting as well, with darkness behind and light ahead. Where will the ship take you, and will there be any adventures along the way? You'll have to board and see.

If I were to vote for a pic, it would Foxworks's first pic. The setting sun over the water and the lone person sitting on his car gives the sense of a day fully lived, as he relaxes at the end and wonders what tomorrow will bring. It's a "future's wide open" theme. My second choice would be Agentbirdnest, with his marina full of different things to do.

Here are two screenshots from The Darkness 2. When people say vacation most people imagine what you see in movies or TV, going to exotic locations or doing something wild to cross off your bucket list. But more often than not vacation is taking the time to relax from the everyday worries and spend time with the people you care about.

Alright, I admit I forgot to close this yesterday. So closed now, I'll go through the screenshots and announce the winners soon :-)
So chance decided that the first prize goes to te_lanus :-)
And the second prize goes to ZFR since that looks like a really nice location for vacations :D

Thanks everyone for the beautiful sreenshots :-)
