drealmer7: Actually I think it might be one of the most underloved classics in the catalogue. I think it could do for some fixing up (textures and graphic support) and you might have to do a little work to get it to dispaly properly on your system. Check the sub-forums for lots of help on it though if there are issues. I also think the sound FX could use a rehaul but the soundtrack sounds great still!

If you can get it to display correctly (with movies too), I think it is great, and worth a shot, really. Gamepad works great too for it.
Actually bought it now that it's on the weekend promo!What a pain to set up the wrapper to play in higher resolutions but it seems to work great after that,just tried it a little bit but there doesn't seem to be an option to turn the hud off to take clean screenshots

Glad you got it working, it is definitely worth it. Hopefully the movies work for you too!

I think you can change the view to 3rd person and maybe then the HUD disappears? I forget, maybe you can't turn it off, I haven't gotten a chance to fire it up and get some SSs yet.

Yeah my bad,there is an option in the menu to disable the hud when using external cameras,as for the movies no,they don't work very well if i use the -glide(though i'm able to play the game in 1080p) and they do work if i use the gog launcher,i wonder if i should play it once on normal res to see the movies

The movies are crucial, imo. It has exceptional story and writing, and each mission is setup very well in the movies. I would say you're doing yourself and the game a huge disservice if you miss the movies.

Took some more Bridge Commander screenshots. This time I tried to recreate scenes from the movies.

-- The first 2 are from Wrath of Khan during the battle in the Mutara Nebula.
-- Then we have one from Star Trek III where Kirk hijacks the Enterprise with the Excelsior in pursuit.
-- Jumping a generation to Star Trek Generations, The Enterprise-D does a saucer separation escape before the warp core from the star-drive section explodes.
-- Finally we have a standoff between the Enterprise-E and the Reman Scimitar above the planet Romulus
