While I doubt many of you have a teletype machine set up to output your display as crude ASCII graphics, I'm sure many of you have one or more monitors connected currently. Maybe some of you even still have an electron gun pointed at your faces.

Me? I've got a Dell PT2417H. A perfectly lovely matte screened display, that's brighter than my previous monitor and has more modern inputs.

So, how about a mundane and normal thread for once?

A 60Hz panel? How quaint!

I stare at you from on high, the home of the 75Hz gaming gods of old, with my Asus VG245H.

(I routinely forget to use the 75Hz mode and just leave it on 60Hz... and I routinely not notice or care much) Your ideas border on the heretical.

BenQ V2400 Eco (1080p, 60Hz) - very old but not bad. I heard BenQ monitors were rebranded as Zowie. Maybe someday I'll get myself good RTX card and good 4K/8K monitor with nVidia G-Sync, maybe.

Lenovo Legion Y27gq-25.

27 inch, 1440p, 240 Hz, G-Sync goodness. One of the best computer peripheral purchases I've ever made. Incredible image quality for being a TN panel. Cost me about $940, but won't have to change monitors for like a decade now.

Acer VG220Q - actually the cheapest model in stock when i got it a month or two back. Very nice speakers on it too.

Philips 190S7FS. 1280x1024, 19", still fine after over 14 years.

I actually got a DVI to HDMI adapter so I could connect my desktop to two monitors; a bigger one it shares with this Raspberry Pi, and a smaller one that's right by the computer. (Computer has one HDMI, one DVI, and one VGA. In case you're wondering, audio comes via USB speakers.)

I have a CBM PET 9-pin dot matrix printer and might be able to dig up an old Sinclair thermal printer from my original 1980's kit. ^_^

Yikes, the last CRT I saw was my mums old telly 10 years or so back. Same size as an elephant t and managed 320dpi or something.

And it’s tasty!! Although you could probably achieve the same with two monitors. Gsync is cool.

A few years ago I bought an Iiyama G-Master GB2388HSU (also known as 'Red Eagle') as I wanted a monitor that supports FreeSync. Plus it was an upgrade from 900p to FullHD, aka 1080p and a faster refresh rate (144MHz). One thing it can do, just like my old monitor, is swivel if I want to view an image in portrait-stand.

2 HP LP2475W 1920x1200 displays with 2 computers connected to each and a 46" Samsung TV with one of the computers hooked up as a third screen (occasionally use it for gaming).

The screens are about 12-13 yrs old (but already had Displayport and HDMI ports) and the TV almost 10. Id actually like to replace all of them for somewhat bigger ones, but i wouldn't throw away working hardware. Will see how long they're gonna last ;)

With my Raspberry Pi4, I use my 65" LG OLED TV as its monitor. I don't recall the exact model, nor care. I mainly remember the size and the display technology.

It's pretty good I guess. At least it is big, because bigger is better. The new 5000 SUX, the American tradition.
