Keith_I2: Windows 10 64 bit sees my 21" Element monitor as generic pnp and insists it has the most recent driver. I disagree and it should have a driver other than what windows installs. And the odd thing is, the Element site has no drivers.
You usually don't need one for regular 60Hz displays. You may need one for 75Hz and higher refresh rates to be selectable in Windows or possibly for GSync / Freesync. Try searching for your monitor model + "driver". Changing it is usually as simple as going into Device Manager, right-clicking on your monitor, "Update Driver Software", then browsing to whereever you downloaded the driver to. (In many cases the "driver" isn't a driver at all but an .inf file that contains data about refresh rates, the monitors HID, etc, so the monitors proper name shows up, etc.
