I really must say a thing, and I hope I don't get a ban for this. If I do, I'll understand and I apologize already to the staff and anyone who didn't partake in the firefight.

OP, you and your supporters are extremists.
You keep on claiming you want equality and justice, but all you do is throwing flames and de facto discriminate all that are against your hugely biased and often logically inconsequential -if not even preposterous- views.
By reading your posts, it seems women and LGBT people are some sort of incorruptible and holy Master Race (yes, I'm cosciously using Nazi terminology here, it perfectly fits) that can commit no wrong, while the other filthy eterosexual men are some sort of bringers of evil.
You want respect, but you actively disrespect the same people you ask respect from, with a form of self-righteous fanaticism worthy of the most zealous crusader.

You competely ignore historical contexts and the fact that females and LGBT people are just as human as any etero man: they can be wrong, they can be criminal, they can be even gratuitously evil sociopaths.
Yet you want them exclusively depicted as heroes and you ignore on purpose human history and psychology.
You know what? People like you don't want equality. You already have it, despite the very few vocal cavemen you can easily spot in the media; you want privilege, you want to be held in higher regard than a common person. Well, face it: you ARE common people, and you shall be treated as such.

So this I ask of you: stop posting this kind of thing. It is neither educative nor useful, and it is definitely not welcome and not as civil as you seem to think it is. Before demanding from others to be civil, start to actually respect those very same others, because I honestly tell you, everything your group says sounds like an open, melodramatic insult coming from prevaricators.

tinyE: This is true.

She should stick to where they actually do exist, like in every posts you have ever made here. :D
tinyE was always unfunny, and now a liar too. That's new

Last I checked, The gog staff warned tinyE for the harassment and sexist comments he was making towards other people's mothers.
And then like a little girl, tinyE went around whining and crying that somehow he was the victim even though it was his fault.

The only sexist here is tinyE.

Brilliant detective work. :P

Personally I don't feel the need to defend myself against you, but for the rest of the forum: The warning I am talking about in that thread was from a Blue who had just started here and, without spending any time in the forum, looked at all the complaints that had been filed. Tauto at the time was reporting EVERY thing I posted, so based on the sheer number, and without actually checking the veracity of them, the Blue issued me a warning.

A short time after that warning was issued several other Blues notified me that the "new guy" was being apprised of the situation and, a short time after that, the Blue in question PMd me and apologized.

Now, I have been kicked three times for cursing, but never for sexism, nor have I ever been accused of it or warned for it, either by a Blue or any forum member.

You completely ignore the historical context in that women and LGBT have been historically marginalized, at least in western civilization. (This goes way back; remember that it's not until relatively recently (on historical time scales) that women gained the right to vote; in the US, the 19th amendment was only ratified less than a century ago.)

Funny how you also seem to ignore that when talking about videogames set in the middle ages. Just saying.

Let me write it out for you, as I interpret it.

You do not like my being a critical fan, so you'd prefer to think I am mentally handicapped, or maybe dyslexic.

I would say back, unto you, my credo:

Immersion is personal, but gaming joy shall be universal.

I admit: I game away, feel very strongly about it, and sometimes post about my feelz, and sometimes not.

I contrast the fact of these two threads.

BTW: as I posted my dislike about the sexism of TW3 - which I fear will carry over to the next Steampunk title to the detriment of us women gamers - I was also on a "blood and broken bones" difficulty with the aim of Countess Mignole and Vesemir recognising their romance both alive.

So I do like it, TW3 that is.
avatar
richlind33: Why revisit this when you know perfectly well it will lead to the same result?
I am actually not sure it will.

I am hoping that signalling for a positive belief in the individual immersion; the universal gaming joy will make a difference.

Us all should enjoy gaming.

Lord_Kane: TStael, you know very well that you are inviting all the firebrands to this thread, I hope you have the strength to deal with it.
Say your sister, mother - or cousin, aunt is a cheer leader. Or you.

A firebrand tells them to be more … invisible, or discreet.

Do you cheer the firebrand, or those other persons?

For me it depend on what is being cheered, but in general I would support the cheerleader.
There are things I will not support or cheer lead but that is a discussion for another day/thread.
