Perhaps you can add 2400 A.D. to EA?

Wow! Ultima's long lost Sci-Fi sister! interesting find - added, thanks!
avatar
vicklemos: You can also add Dead Mountaineer's Hotel under the Akella Section :)
See, I'm sure there was a reason I didn't include that one at the time, here it is:
"Dead Mountaineer's Hotel is a game based on the novel of the same name by the Strugatsky brothers"
So... not original IP them I guess unless it's out of copyright and therefore public domain IP?

Who and why?
In all honesty I don't think there's any legal hurdles to Akella bringing this to GOG as they're already selling it on Steam
http://store.steampowered.com/app/10230/?snr=1_7_15__13
(although that 'mostly negative' reception might well be putting GOG off wanting it)

Being based on a book just means that it falls outside the scope of this list, sorry if you think that's a slightly artificial restriction but it's a pretty big list and I feel I need to limit the scope in some way or other...
Thanks though
avatar
vicklemos: Also Auryn Quest, a very interesting german game also published by Akella :)
This Auryn Quest?
http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/the-neverending-story-auryn-quest
That's a 'Neverending Story' based game isn't it?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088323/?ref_=nv_sr_2

Contacting Akella! :P
I honetly think this one would fit nicely in here (the Dead Mountaineer's Hotel one).
And yes, this exact one. Some say Auryn Quest is a nifty game. Can't say that for myself, since I barely scratched the surface on this one.
Yup, it's based on Michael Ende's work, yes :)

edit: for clarification :)

Fever_Discordia: Tommo / Retroism:
3 games were recently released on Steam under the Retroism label:

Marine Park Empire
Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc
Zoo Empire

Interestingly, all three games are self-published on GamersGate by , who also self-publishes [url=http://www.gog.com/games##sort=bestselling&devpub=enlight_software&page=1]here, so I leave it up to you if you want to create a new publisher section or if you want to just add them to Tommo-Retroism's section.

Interesting - Mobygames likes to say that the Enlight Empire games are a series:
http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/enlights-empire-series

and Enlight are still self-publishing Restaurant Empire II on Steam:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/32900/

Hmmm.. I'll have to think about how I show those ones then..
