I've just bought Splatter - Zombiecalypse Now

On the game's web page it states it is 584 MB.

On the download page in my library, two files are listed, Part 1 of 2 and Part 2 of 2. Both are listed as the same size of 292 MB each.

Both are named the same and appear to be the same file, though slightly different in size and checksum. Downloading the second file would overwrite the first.

setup_splatter_-_zombiecalypse_now_1.0_(59718).exe

There is no part number in the file names.

So is part two missing?
At a guess I would say not, as it would be strange to have two files at this size, instead of just one larger one.

Can we have some clarification please, and both web pages updated to the correct state?

P.S. I am not happy with an incorrectly listed file size, as file size is one of the determining factors when I buy a game, especially when we are down to such small file size. I tells me something about the quality, and guides me in how much I am prepared to pay.

I don't think there's anything missing. A file of that size never has a .bin in addition.

In any case it's probably worth to report the bug.

No I haven't, just attempted to download, saw the issue and reported here.
It did occur to me that it could be as you say, but in the library page, the downloads are clearly listed as Part 1 of 2 and Part 2 of 2, so really GOG need to clear it all up Then there is the size listed on the game page.
Someone has certainly made a mistake or been sloppy or .... As I listed in my first post, both files are slightly different in size and have a different checksum.
And yes you are right, they could be just a different language version.
And I agree about the BIN file.

I'm just counting on this question thread, and the fact that others will have come across this issue, which GOG cannot really ignore. I'm not going to bother going down the bot route. Someone at GOG will notice this thread eventually.

Do I really need to contact you using the Bot, when this is not just on my behalf, but for all those who have bought the game? I hope you are not ignoring me because I did not use the bot.

P.S. And for all I know, someone may have attempted to use the Bot to resolve this issue anyway. Unless I am the only one who has bought the game.

@GOG - When you get around to noticing this thread and fixing the download links issue for Splatter - Zombiecalypse Now, you might as well fix the links issue for Attack of the Earthlings too, which I've just bought, as currently they are listed as Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4, when in reality they are Part 1 and Part 2 (32 Bit) and Part 1 and Part 2 (64 Bit).

Actually, even though the file sizes for the 64 Bit version (EXE & BIN) are slightly different to the 32 Bit variants, when checked using a structure checking program, it says they are also 32 Bit, and not 64 Bit. So all highly confusing, and needs clearing up.

What did you check? The installer files?
Offline Installers are always 32 Bit because there simply isn't a 64 Bit version of Inno Setup, which is used by GOG.

64 or 32 Bit is related to the game itself, not the installer.

Gog game store page size entries is separate entry in GOG Content Db /Api. Not related to actual game size. Can be wrong sometimes, sometimes fixed later.

(BTW GogDb fan-made have many issues major ones too, this is one - wrong game/files/files in depots sizes, links to Api's (3 Ali's) have correct ones)

As for files issue: most likely that one suggestion about x32 version is correct.

Anyway, all that aside, that is why we need greater clarity from GOG, meaning correct download link entries.

Yep, but not good when it is such small file sizes, as that can be quite misleading, and impact a buying decision. In my instance (first post) we are talking 50 percent smaller, and the game file was small enough as is, so definitely leads to concerns about quality etc.

Anyway, that size issue aside, GOG need to fix the download link entries in the library for that game, same for the second game I have mentioned. Certainly at the moment I am not clear about what I have downloaded game file wise, especially for the first game I listed.
