For anyone hoping to see Might & Magic X - Legacy here on GOG it was killed on Steam, no longer able to be purchased at the request of Ubisoft:

The dream is dead... but you can wishlist it here:

Where is the previous thread about the online drm and some server taken offline for this game ? heck i don't know but i guess it was removed from steam to avoid selling a broken game now also Ubisoft probably decides it's easier and less work to bury the game than release it here.

Ubishit and their drm is well known but not something i will retread here.

Starkrun: The dream is dead... but you can wishlist it here:
Why the heck would Ubisoft want to release a game here that they've pulled from Steam? Answer: they wouldn't.

If they pulled it because they don't feel like giving Steam 30% of their profits any more for that game, well GOG would still take the same 30%.

If they pulled it because it was broken, then they wouldn't want to sell a broken game on GOG either.

So I don't see any way how the premise suggested in that quotation could make any logical sense.

It's not like Ubishit releases games worth playing anyway...

Seriously, what is it going to take for the sheeple to wake up and make this awful company go out of business by never buying one of their shitty games ever again? How much abuse are people willing to put up with? It's mind-boggling, really.

Tbh I had never heard of it until now. Hmm, if it's any good maybe Zoom will some day get it.
(if they partner with Ubisoft like they've partnered with EA, that is)

Previous thread here:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/ubisoft_shuts_down_online_verifaction_servers_for_mightmagic_x_fucks_up_the_game_in_the_process

Where I also suggested one, though unlikely scenario where Ubisoft could be somehow convinced to hand it over to GoG so that they could look into the possibility of getting Might & Magic X up and functioning again, by utilising the Ghost wrapper (which you may recall from making the DRM-free release of Deus Ex Mankind Divided possible).

Ubisoft being Ubisoft, they likely would rather not put it up for sale ever again than letting GoG do the work for them and then at least collect the 70% of every copy sold through GoG.

looks like it was a very bad game
glad they removed it
it should never come to gog store
I wonder if they are preparing to pull a "HD remaster" like they did with Heroes 3. It feels strange that they removed it from STEAM, I mean it's their inhouse developed game. They own all the assets, and they own the Might and Magic IP. We'll just have to wait and see...

As I said, because it's their inhouse product, they have access to the source code and the assets.
It looks like we're fast heading for a world in which every major game publisher has their own digital distribution service and sell a large majority of their products only on it... If anyone's looking for me, I'll be playing my offline DRM-free games.

More and more games getting pulled from various stores is sad news indeed.

Found this thread (can't confirm it works) -
https://www.reddit.com/r/MightAndMagic/comments/odxu8f/might_and_magic_x_legacy_manual_code_fix_to_gain/

One of the biggest things I hate nowadays is the awful trend of connecting to internet to play single-player games. Achievements? Understandable. The game? W h a t?
Good news is, DRM-free platforms like GOG could gain users seeking a safe refuge with this uptick in stupid DRM policies.

EDIT: Apparently this includes Might and Magic X: Deluxe Edition, again, can't confirm -
https://store.ubi.com/eu/the-might-and-magic-collection/5964e4750c8ee45b738b456a.html?lang=en-SK
EDIT 2: Not on the store anymore. Expected, but there goes the last traces of Might and Magic X: Legacy.

Was it even really on Steam? Most games by EA and Ubi still require their own clients on top of the Steam one. If that was the case here, too, the game coming to GOG was just as unlikely before as it would be now, after it being pulled from Steam.

They pulled World in Conflict from Steam but it's still happily available here.

That is not true
