Orkhepaj: then why was it mostly negative?

Spectrum_Legacy: I have a hunch that it has recent (last 30 days) user rating of 9% because Ubi messed up real bad even by corporate standards and users wanted to express their disdain towards Ubi for breaking the servers/drm/game they paid for, or potentially even warn others from purchase of a now-broken product - at least initially before it got pulled. Doesn't necessarily make the game itself bad.
If you just glance over things like recent rating and then proceed to quickly judge anything by saying stuff like "looks like it was a very bad game - glad they removed it - it should never come to gog store" without seeing the whole picture, you aren't doing yourself any favors here really, to put it mildly.
well i remember this game came out very buggy and was worse than the previous ones
so yup bad half finished games shouldnt appear in gog store
btw what favors do i miss?
It's hard for me to understand why the publisher prefers to remove the game from sale rather than remove the DRM. They're losing money this way, not to mention the reputation among those who own the game.

maybe the one who makes the decision is paid by the drm makers

This is pretty freaking disgusting to pull the plug on a game from 2014 that's singleplayer only. I have the Deluxe Edition unplayed on UPlay and I can't even use it as a coaster since it's only digital.

Business, of course...so they can remaster it and re-sell a working version at $60-70 MSRP soon enough. ;)

Not like they care enough about the Might & Magic IP to remaster M&MX...

There is no known safe alternative at the moment, so beware of what you may find.

To all: sorry for the delayed replies/thread bump......missed this thread in my list:

Mori_Yuki: Yar har fideldidy being a <censored> is our way to be, being a <censored> makes free, you are a <censored>
avatar
Mori_Yuki: Joking aside, yes, this is about the only way when it happens. Still you'd get less that what you paid for meaning achievements, server access so on so forth.
Well thankfully, for those of us who don't care as much if we lose out on some things like cheevos and cloud saves, that isn't as much of a problem. ;)

avatar
Mori_Yuki: At least you can still play the games, most of them, at least. With MM X this isn't possible....
My guess is, the ones who sail the seas and bring in the booty will figure some solution at some point.
(I mean heck, they beat many of the toughest DRM schemes around)
This is weird.

Does It affect the ubisoft connect version, too? I mean, they gave away mmx for free if I'm not wrong.

Enebias: Ubisoft: "piracy kills our games"!
Also Ubisoft: kills its games
Pirates: keep the same games on life support.

HARD LOGIC HERE, UBISOFT.
yes with all the pulling wonder how much is your license really worth?.

just ask your self this question when you buy your next game.

+1. Piracy doesn't kill games, DRM kills games.

DRM is a tool used by corporations to impose an artificial lifespan on games people are buying, allowing them to 'pull the plug' whenever they feel like it so they can charge you for it again.
I just started the game up and loaded some 5 year old saves. It's working just fine, better than than it used to actually. Who's saying it doesn't work again?
