I cannot seem to get this to launch in windowed mode. I don't see a config file or any way to set it...there has to be a way for Galaxy to force something into a window though, right?

Use Grayface patch - https://grayface.github.io/mm/

Or you can toggle it with F4 -

Thanks! That worked great, now to run around until I get fireball and the game goes to easy mode :D

Use MM6 7and 8 Merge. You can starting MM6 and if you don't want to continue just don't dive into the continent linking quest.
