For those who haven't played it, I highly recommend the Guild series. It's very unique and engrossing, if you can look past the bugs and rough edges.

No Anno series?

Well, that will aptly match our current real-world situation nicely wont it :)
I had hoped Parkitect would drop in price a little bit more before I pull the trigger and buy. The game looks fun and a throwback to the isometric Roller Coaster Tycoon franchisee. Can anyone who bought or played the game vouch if it's worth the $20 price range?

If salted with "games having medics as protagonists", for a change. (Or a scientist(mad or not) for those not willing to play the "doctors" game ;-) )

seinmind: ... Parkitect ...
Note that there are already two DLCs, so it isn't just the base game price if you want everything available. I only have the first DLC but IMO it is not as good as the RCT series and has less content than any of the RCT games. I don't like the hide-the-restrooms and complex shop delivery mechanics that Parkitect added and they made the ride maintinance frequency, the one thing you are just about guaranteed to want to adjust at some point, a bit harder to reach (you need to scroll down, although I just tested and it looks like you can resize the popup to avoid that, either new or I missed it previously). Even though it is 3d you can't get a ground level view like you can in RCT3 (with the right camera settings). I'm personally not that fond of the graphics style, although it isn't horrible and it is nice to fully support 1920x1080 that none of the RCT games support. Also, ground level is almost entirely flat in Parkitect, while I like the elevation differences in the RCT games (although I didn't like in RCT2 that only stairs are available; in RCT1 they look like ramps and in RCT3 you could choose ramps or stairs and I went to great lengths to make my parks fully accessible, not counting the few stairs that are part of many individual rides). I'd recommend OpenRCT2 as a way of playing the old RCT games.

Tropico 5 vs 6. Which one is better?. Older ones better than 5 or 6?

I can't play 6 because it requires a quad core CPU and I only have dual core so I can't help with that one, but I would personally suggest starting with 1 unless old graphics bother you, then pick one of the later ones. I would say each that I have played (other than 2) is better in a few ways and worse in others and mostly just a slightly different version of the same thing. Even 2 is not all that different IIRC other than setting, although it has been a while since I tried that one and I didn't spend nearly as long playing it as the others.
Cities Skylines would be nice for folks
