It's getting visceral this (mid)week in our latest Midweek Sale with games that offer some proper aiming practice for your mouse hand!

Sometimes you want games that tell a captivating story. Games that move you, games that make you think and games that make you laugh.
Other times you just want games in which you can shoot things. Fair enough – this sale is for you.

Let's start with a classic! Redneck Rampage Collection (-66%) is everything you want from a 90s shooter. creative guns and weapons, an interesting setting and some proper meaty killing. Channel your inner neckbeard and start a rampage.

Next up we have a very different competitor for the shooter crown. In SUPERHOT (-50%) you do some shooting and killing – so far so good. But the unique twist is, the action only happens, when you actually move and do something. So it's like a kinda active-time-battle-system from classic JRPGs but as a shooter. Or maybe that description wasn't perfect either. We suggest strongly you try it out for yourself!

After that creative approach to shooting, let's get back to some classics. Classics that are so beloved, they made a series out of it. Our Soldier of Fortune (each -20%) and Medal of Honor (each -75%) games are definite must-haves.

Last but not least, everyone's favorite part – even more games: SiN Gold (-75%), Project Warlock (-33%), Brothers in Arms games (each -75%), Void Bastards (-20%), Singularity™/ (-75%), and many more.

Our Midweek Sale lasts until October 12th, 1 PM UTC.
I might get Necrovision and it's Prequel....does anyone know if I should play the prequel first or the original game?

Random_Coffee: Is Singularity any good? I played ALL the console shooters when I was a teenager, but that one somehow slipped under my radar.
One thing to note is that although it's only rated 4/5 here (which I interpret as good but not fantastic -- maybe like 80% to 85% on steam?), it's rated 92% with 2,870 reviews on steam, which seems quite popular.

The 75% off discounted to $7.49 is a common discounted price for it, both on gog and steam.
ATTN: If you plan to get Timeshift, please note that in order to play it you must set your system to disable cores either through the Bios, or Use AMD Ryzen Master Tool and limit to a max. core count of 8 (without Multithreading). I don't bother as I'm not going through all those system changes for one game!

So then that would be 4 cores max(8 with Multithreading)? If so then those of us with older PCs will thankfully/hopefully not have to do that.

I think you can play the original first and than the prequel.

But watch this video (at least the first minutes) to see, what you need to turn off for relatively solid gameplay:

Oh, and maybe use the DX9 version, because the DirectX 10 has some problems with shadows (?).

Oof, disabling cores is not fun. I just bought a used copy for Xbox a few days ago, so I should get it in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully it's as good as I remember :P

Thanks for the info, you rock. :)

Also a note to gog staff: You guys/gals should remove the spoiler(on the fate of the protag from the prequel) from the prequel's summary/store page.

I loved it when I played it....sadly they never made another, which I gladly would have bought if they had done so.

I recommend getting Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Project Warlock. Both are really fun fps games.

Random_Coffee: Is Singularity any good?
Yes it is. It's the last good one coming from Raven Software before they entered the Call of Duty hell in which they still suffer. If you're getting it you should also get Flaweless Widescreen to adjust the fov in the game which is kinda low by default.

I haven't played it either. I've heard it's kind of a standard shooter, not breaking any new ground, but really well executed.

My question is why I have to pay €6.79 for it. On Steam it's €4.99 and from what I understand GOG also sells it for €4.99 elsewhere in the EU.
I'll recommend SiN Gold, Redneck Rampage, and Medal of Honor AA
Is NecroVision worth $1?

tfishell: If GOG can sell it in Germany are they just not aware they can? Have you emailed Support about this?
avatar
Maxvorstadt: As far as I know, Sin Gold is still indexed and only available "under the counter" legally in Germany.
I'm confused. Can GOG sell it in Germany or not?

It isn't worth more than that, if that's an acceptable answer. There's just so little in it that's actually enjoyable and fun until you pick up a weapon that opens up the gameplay.

Absolutely.

As I mentioned, it's $7.49 right now on both Gog and Steam, and in both cases that is 75% off.

So €6.79 doesn't seem odd to me; that's about 1.10 USD to 1 Euro; I don't know what the current going rate is, but surely it's not *far* out of line with that.

But the Steam price you quote, €4.99, is the one that seems questionable to me, since that's an exchange rate of 1.50 USD to 1 Euro. I haven't been paying attention to the going rate, but 1.50 seems unlikely...

Why there's *any* difference between Gog and Steam in Euros when there is not in US Dollars, on the other hand, is a mystery to me.

I've played Lost Company only and what can I say – take both!
