Hello, I was playing Emperor - Rise of the Middle Kingdom perfectly fine until I got to a mission where I have to build a Grand Tumulus. At the precise moment when I clicked on the ground to start building the Grand Tumulus, the game crashed and the next message appeared on my screen:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime error!

Program: ...y\Games\Emperor - Rise of the Middle Kingdom\Emperor.exe

abnormal program termination

Any suggestions to fix the problem?
Thanks!

Try upgrading library.

Hope it helps.

I just upgraded the Microsoft Visual C++ as you suggested and it didn't fix the problem.....it is very strange, the game was working perfectly fine until now

Normally, runtime errors are a problem with program code, but can also be caused by trying to interface with a library that doesn't have an interface.

Since it was working fine, and does not now, have you made any other hardware or software changes in the meanwhile, between when it worked, and when it didn't?

Did you reboot, and give it a shot?

It's probably a problem in the game, not the library. The error mentions the library because that dialog box is part of the library's crash-handling mechanism (AFAIK).

Suggestion: try reinstalling the game, maybe one of the data files for the Grand Tumulus has got corrupted or deleted.
Yeah, I would suggest reinstalling as well. You may also want to close any other unnecessary running programs in case there was some kind of conflict.
