Wishmaster777: Look at the changes that Valve and EA made on Steam, and the games that entered the Steam store thanks to the Epic Games. Not that I care for the EA games, nor Steam. I have not made a single purchase on Epic Games, and probably never will, but the impact they have on the gaming industry is just positive.
The only change I noticed on Steam is peddit stickers. The only likely positive effect of Epic is pouring that sweet Chinese money into bribing studios, but this is unsustainable. The possible outcomes are
- investors get tired of missed growth goals, no more money
- Steam up and dies, no more point in undercutting it, no more money
- EGS becomes an ultra rich entity's pet goldfish, yes to money, yes to censorship, blacklisting, shunning, tortious interference
