I'm listening to Vincebus Eruptus by Blue Cheer, an album I heartily recommend to any rock and metal fan. It was metal before metal was a thing, released all the way back in 1968. Blue Cheer like a lot of psychedelic rock bands of that time period were actually a lot heavier than the first wave of "metal" bands.
