Tracedawn - Thanks For Asking, I'm Just Obsessed

DieRuhe: Wow, finally "discovered" Arch Enemy last night. Awesome. Bought their last cd and like it so much I pre-ordered their new one, which I never do.

VABlitz: Though, I of course prefer the original they did a cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High
Wow, that was... not so good. :-)
Just picked up S.O.D. - Speak English Or Die - after being without it for too long. Ahh, the riffage. A bit basic, perhaps, but great for practicing.

javihyuga: Do I always look this at the wrong time, or is Doom Metal a little forgotten?
Going very obscure here, what 'bout Forest of Shadows?

Otherwise, while I'm here, feel like a bit of gothic, so... Downcast Art - Forbidden Memories? Or while we are at gothic done right, albeit non-English (so it had to be done VERY right for me to give it any chance), Nostra Morte - Perséfone.

And to end with something local, Tiarra's House of Tears, being one I oddly like, which otherwise didn't happen after their demo...
This sound hardly qualifies as metal as I would classify it as psychedelic rock. Nevertheless, I think the band is extremely obscure and somewhat "pre-metal", so I drop this in case someone might be interested in these old satanic rockers.

Dark Buddha Rising - Dakhmandal

Doom Metal / Dark Ambient or somesuch.

I really just stopped in to say that I've been lurking and enjoying the music.

I am a minimal techno fan:

heh, its kinda 50/50 really ;)

Talking about bit different sort of metal and rock, i dare to listen to this whole album:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70_Tikoa36k&list=PL654D2AB8BC631F47

its in finnish - but there is official translation by the band itself here: http://www.cmx.fi/en/reader.php?file=talvikuningas_english

The album is scifi-epic, each song making sort of piece of story. And the music, well, its something that has to be listened to and read (the lyrics) by oneself. its supposedly progressive rock, but i would say its way more than just that.

CMX is my favorite band of all time and they have done pretty much every sort of music : This is their 12th album, so they have "some" experience ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talvikuningas

This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKjNt6pvB0M is sort of prequel to the album. it wasnt on it though, but is clearly referenced right at the start of the lyrics page (Mekaanisten lintujen puisto = The garden of mechanical birds)
----

For the impatient there is cool music video of the song "Punainen Komentaja" (Red Commander). The video shows lots of bits and pieces of the other songs. Also clear Warhammer 40k influence :)

EDIT: Sharp eyed person might notice something about my GOG avatar, which ive used here, well pretty much always.
