Leviathan - Scar Sighted

Can't wait to see the direction Wrest goes next (and if we could get some unreleased Lurker or Chalice material while we're at it that would be great u.u )
HELLYEAH- I don't care anymore
Made of Metal - Dream Evil
I'm the Man - Anthrax
Condition Critical - Extermination Plan
"Another Night Comes" - Eternal Idol a band I recently discovered, quite good
Is there a "typical Metalhead" look that goes around? Been told this morning (and on numerous occasions before) that I don't look like a metal head.

The lady this morning was quite taken aback that I'm not interested in the newest local boeremusiek/afrikaanse pop music, and she said "You don't look like 99.5% of the people who come in and buy this type of music"

Band shirt. Leather or jean jacket, possibly with patches. Ripped or beat up jeans. Black boots. Long hair often (or shaved head). I'd say that's a typical "metal" look. At least, that's how I dress when I go to concerts. The rest of the time? You'd never know I was into metal. Not by how I dress anyways...

Wow, do brick & mortar record stores still exist there? I'm kinda jealous.

Recently I see a lot less leather, jeans, accessories. I'd say a modern metal head look is a simple black shirt, jeans or cargo pants/shorts. Kids these days don't even do the hair, blasphemy...

At concerts you see some 60+ year-old folks, the old-schoolers. Now those can get *very* creative :)
Here are my top 5 albums of 2016:

01. Blazon Stone - War of the Roses + Ready for Boarding (EP)
02. Eternal Champion - The Armor of Ire
03. Dark Forest - Beyond the Veil
04. Sumerlands - Sumerlands
05. Silverbones - Wild Waves

What are your favorites of this year?

Many of my all-time favorites released good to excellent albums, it was a good year. If I had to pick 5:

Borknagar - Winter Thrice
Novembre - URSA
Dark Tranquillity - Atoma
Meshuggah - The Violent Sleep of Reason
Rotting Christ - Rituals

And I still haven't had a chance to listen to Animals as Leaders - The Madness of Many

But imho the single most unexpected album was Metallica's. At I first I completely dissed it here, now I think It's very, very good. The entire album that is, every single song.

I couldn't even finish the first CD of this album and Metallica was one of the first bands I listen to, when I got into metal. But Hardwired... just didn't catch me.
I have to mention, that I'm not into Thrash Metal anymore, but I enjoyed Vektor - Terminal Redux.

Many albums I enjoyed this year. And I've not listened everything I wanted to, not yet. I may write some words in the end of the year.

Tomorrow Possessed are coming to Athens for the first time, I am eagerly waiting for this gig!

I can understand that :) I thought the same, but forced myself to listen to this when doing stuff, lifting etc. After a few spins it really grew on me, it is no Master of Puppets, but I think this is far better than any of their post-1990 material. I'd say try the entire album some time, the later tracks were more interesting than the first Youtube reveals. You might be surprised.

I still think their sound is very stale, though. There is nothing original about the album, that anybody who hasn't grown up with them wouldn't like them today.

Also add Vektor to my list! So many good albums this year, seriously.
