Hi. I've got this nice package: Mechwarrior Quadrology.
It is prepeared MW 1-4 to work on modern systems.
It works on gvoodoo or DX9.
It starts fine and I can work around within Mechbay and choose a misssion.
However when I launch a misssion it crashes to desktop.
No matter if I choose dx9 or glide.

I dont think mechwarrior has ever been released commercially as a quadrilogy.

Yeah, that's not a legitimate package, given Mechwarrior 2-4 were all developed under different publishers who'd sooner stab each other in the throat.

I got MW2 to run in DosBox, also tried Dosbox-X to get the Voodoo 3D card glide passthrough, but that didn't work very well, got much better performance just raw Dosbox.

I can supply the config and you drop the bin/cue files into the designated folder and run, and it should be fine.

edit: Alright, put together the MW2 config and all that jazz. Present files in this is Dosbox, the configs as well as the 1.05 DOS patch (I'd also edited the mouse controls to be correct rather than inverted, and higher resolution defaults that looked good).

Have the game named Mercenaries.cue and Mercenaries.bin, put the cd BIN/CUE files in the games/Mechw2M/cd folder replacing the two files there. If all works well, it should (first time) copy all files missing before launching the game reducing the size to a fraction. (i'd also edited my CD image removing unneeded files, so the audio offsets may be wrong in the cue file, as well as ECMing the result for better archiving)
