I read on the forums that there used to be a FLAC download version of the MDK 2 soundtrack. Where did it go?

I would like to have it!
My downloads often go to a hidden folder that contains GalaxyClient or something to that effect. If you used Galaxy to download, there should be an option in the download tab to find the file location if you didn't clear it out. I think it's just better to use the web browser.
@pmcollectorboy: I think you may have misunderstood the question.

@MadPyls: It looks like the MDK2 FLAC soundtrack was removed in 2014, along with a big list of other games. They try to link the reason for the change, but the page in question has been lost. By the looks of things, the files for a lot of games were bad, and the soundtracks were simply never replaced.

They just archived the thread, that's all. It still exists:

Ah, whoops, I should have remembered about the archive forum!

So yeah, the FLAC soundtrack for the games in question wasn't actually lossless.
I once made the mistake of downloading the flac version of a soundtrack. I think it was either Huniepop or Last Door. That's a whole gig of data I didn't need to burn.

I do notice the difference, but only when played through higher end audio equipment. For most people, mp3 is the perfect quality/size ratio and on lower end audio equipment (motherboard audio for example) you won't really notice much, if any, difference.
Did the FLAC versions stay in the library for people that bought it before the removal? Cheers

No, and there was really no point. It was just the MP3 soundtrack converted to FLAC.

So they basicly made crappy MP3 sound a little bit more clearer ;).Cheers

Nope!
Considering that the FLAC was made from the mp3, at best it is exactly the same as the mp3, and at worst it is slightly more crappy.
