[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

Dogmaus: Will you say this for every Steam/Epic/Ubisoft/Bethesda/any giveaway that requires a client? The keys are valid for the Big Fish store, and that implies their client. They don't "force" a client on anyone more than any other store that is not GOG or sometimes Humble.

madth3: I used to be a BigFish customer many years ago and there's a subtle difference.
(disclaimer: this might have changed)

You can download files from BigFish that appear to be installers for a game. These installers download and install the client before installing the game but if you're new to the process it's not clear that is what is going to happen.

Other stores are clearer about you installing the client and you install from there.
Yeah, I have used up my codes for slots games. They aren't controller supported, but it can be set up when launched from Steam. No need for the client to run the games, just to download them (but I keep in mind YMMV if there is such a game you're getting just in case). Generally, there's no issues, so it's all good.

But the note about the club thing is completely separate from all this. That's always part of Big Fish's design of the cart for every purchase, and yes, it's not required and that's been done to death in this thread IIRC.

In case there are people out there who don't know about this:

Go to "My Account".

Scroll down to "Big Fish Game Club Account Activity".

Where it says "Game Club promo offers", tick "Hide these in my shopping cart."

You won't be seeing those anymore, until you untick that again. Of course, you won't be collecting anything on that punch card thing either, but at least BigFish doesn't try to force that Game Club thing during every purchase after that.

 ▪ Kalaban

Kalaban is a horror-themed action-adventure game.
The year is 1995, in an alternate history version of Finland. Bob, a hermit and an American who has moved to Finland, lives in a backwater cabin by himself. One night he is attacked by a hideous dog-like mutant. Now he must find out what is going on, and discover the reason behind the outbreak.
