Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

I'm now sitting here wondering how much effort I can be bothered to go to for a free copy of a sequel to a game I hated...


I actually managed to get logged in a couple of hours ago, thinking I'd still be logged in when I came back for the stream. Nope. And now the entire login server appears to be on fire, to the surprise of literally nobody except, it appears, Ubisoft.

Registering an account also doesn't work now. IF you are lucky to pass the login bug, Account verification code never reaches the email inbox. Spent an hour on this. This is completely pointless.

The deadline was from 11:30-12 for watching the video to get the game also, so I cannot confirm if this link works.

Has anyone managed to get the game through this link?

Suspended? Great. Was just continually trying for some 30 minutes. Also, tried to put in most of those codes that popped up on screen during Trackwhatever. I am a fairly fast typer but still no luck. I'd call this "giveaway" a publicity stunt at best, they knew their servers would not be able to take the load. By the way, I also hated the first game...
I guess we got what we deserved?
They are "working on the issue" that affects "some players".
Update: Okay, if you wanted AC Valhalla Moonlight, whatever that is, you are now officially out of luck. Same for the Division 2 whatever box. And that last item.
Update 2: Now they are saying they will be giving it out even if you didn't manage to log in. Sure. And 20k dislikes on youtube will disappear just like that.

The note now says that they're giving ''all of you' the rewards even if you didn't manage to log in. Whether that means literally every UPlay account, or if you'll still have to prove you were watching somehow remains to be seen, but it looks like they've given up on fixing anything in the next half hour.

Maybe I'm being naive but after a fiasco like this I would expect some action to be taken by their PR guys, something like giving the game away in the next few days without any condition of watching anything during a certain space of time (which, anyway, I guess is what will happen with this game, it will probably be used again as a freebie sometime in the future).

Apparently, the perks so far are as follows:

Watch 1 minute: You get WD2
Watch 20 minutes: WD Legion Ubi Forward jacket
Half hour: D2 Cache Key Apparel Pack
40 mins: AC Valhalla Moonlight (it's an axe)

So just stick around for about an hour and you should get these things.

There were major log in issues, Twitch was fine, but the drops haven't started, so Twitch was largely forgotten since the fiasco.

But no, there wasn't really a "deadline" per se. The premise was that you had to watch a certain amount of time on the stream to get the items, but because they screwed up the delivery so terribly because of the log in issues, and with the forums being 502'd sometimes, you couldn't do anything. They're gonna have to make up for it somehow.

During the stream on the Forward page, which I ignored completely because of those issues and switched to Twitch, there were apparently raffles.

Yeah, big ol' domino effect here they should have put a halt to all the activity but the stream until they figured it out. My biggest gripe in the beginning was the pre-show pre-show where they flashed codes on the stream to various games. I couldn't type it out fast enough, got locked out to a cooldown because of the bad codes, so this was very inconvenient.

FWIW, Hyper Scape they've been advertising during the stream is in Beta and you can obtain access here:

EDIT: They seem to have edited their page, and now it says your WD2 copy will be delivered tomorrow. It doesn't speak of anything else yet, but it's a wait-and-see.
