[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

BlackThorny: Unfair to who exactly? EA,Bethesda,Activision,UbiSoft,RockStar? They have enough money to compete.
Maybe you mean it is unfair to Steam, the Behemoth market leader?
Gog never was on the same scale to begin with, I doubt will ever be, and only benefits as more titles that used to be "Steam exclusives" by default will tickle their way into DRM-free, especially when some where given for free.

Sulibor: I am not a lawyer but in the long run this behavior could force others out of the market or prevent new stores from entering the market. WB games did not appear here after Batman games were given away on Epic store (the same is true for many other games) so I do not think that release on Epic could lead to broader availability of previously exclusive titles.
I'm won't complain about getting free games, but I definitely understand the concern. I, myself, will gladly buy a game twice to support GOG as they're one of the most important companies in the industry right now. That being said, not everyone would do that so I can genuinely understand why this is concerning.

I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I noticed that since EGS came to be, other stores like GMG, Fanatical, Voidu, etc, doesn't offer the same discounts like they did. Before I would get emails with 20% coupons (sometimes even 25% in case of GMG) to apply to games that were already on sale, making them dirty cheap. Nowadays, the coupon are mostly 5% and rare.

GOG during their sales would do the "spent X amount and receive Y game for free". Not anymore it seems, and they also quit the fair price policy.

I love free games as much as the next person, but Epic won't be doing this forever, and I too worry that this may force other store out of business. Hopefully it won't happen.

The DDO equivalent article doesn't seem to have been published yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if that coupon turns out to be DDOFREEQUESTS. :)
The coupon DDOFREEQUESTS worked for me.

Thank you @gogtrial34987!

Hi, did any of you get Arx Fatalis?
I joined at the time (May 31st), already had a Bethesda account, so just joined the newsletter.
Then I got a "Thank you for joining Arkane Outsiders" email to my registered email address on June 2nd.
(No idea why that long, but FAQ said it is viable to update email newsletter setting up to June 2nd, so again according to guidelines.)
FAQ said everyone that got a confirmation email of joining (guess that is the latter), should have the game until June 3rd.
Well it is June 4th, and I still don't have it show in my transactions (I do have the art there). Must I launch the Client to get the game?
They did mention contacting support on the updated FAQ (the previous was removed, but may be available in an online cache):

ARKANE OUTSIDERS FAQ
Any users who did not initially receive their copy of Arx Fatalis received the game on June 1. Please check your Transaction History. If you don't see the game, please reach out to customer service.
How do I find Arx Fatalis in the Bethesda.net Launcher?
Navigate to Arx Fatalis via the sidebar game menu in the Bethesda.net Launcher. Once it has been added your library, you will see the game and an Install button, have fun!
Where can I download The Art of Arkane PDF?
Visit your Transaction History.

Hmm, Did anyone register on late 31st? I might missed the UTC time or whatnot...
Also, when did you get email about joining mailing list? Did all of you start the launcher at some point after registration?
It did mention something about appearing after login to the launcher in the old FAQ. I guess I'll have to start it to ensure.

Also, when did you get email about joining mailing list?
I got it a few minutes later.
After that I changed my Bethesda profile settings to allow receiving their newsletter.
Then I got another mail by Bethesda asking for confirmation that I would like to join their newsletter.
I clicked on confirm and a few days later the game was added to my account.

Did all of you start the launcher at some point after registration?
No, I haven't used their client. I used their website and was able to see the added game there.
