[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

I'm very aware; You have already said that. And now that is irrelevant since the whole giveaway is now over already.

I only said that people had to play multiple times because they had difficulty in obtaining their keys in the first place. The "5%" number was thrown in there because of it.

So, that giveaway is done but apparently if you were among the roughly ~4,000 or so users trying for a key during the time it was being tweaked/experiencing issues, you'll be getting the opportunity to claim a key of your choice from among their titles soon-ish.

Everyone else who came up empty handed is just SOL.

As you can see (if you would only change the tab) https://steamdb.info/sub/448598/history/ they changed it 9 DAYS AGO so it's not like it's only "NOW" "all of the sudden" so you goofed quite a bit :P

Anyway - since "some" specific people (maybe not here) "complain" about putting info "too early" I didn't bother to put info about it here until it gets very close to start time (I still intend to do that by then) as it's still a lot of time until then.
So next time you see something "far off in the distance" I suggest you hold on to that info until it gets closer as otherwise your post will get burried and a lot of people are not patient enough to backtrack (it could also change again in that time fyi).

The date changed, previously it was to be free on 18th.

I didn't take offense, I was just confused since I get notified of replies and each time someone includes a post of mine and doesn't address anything in it I just get left trying to figure out if they meant to do that or if they're just having problems breaking apart the quote they really want to respond to.

You can get an Original Journey key (Steam) by joining this discord (https://discordapp.com/invite/ai), following the instructions to get access to all channels, going to the channel #steam-key-claim and then using the command !getkey. Bot is busy, so be patient, but the command should give you a private message from the bot containing the key.

I'm not getting this...how do you pick a side and all that to get access to the server? clicking on a heart/reaction doesn't seem to work...

The heart reaction worked for me. In the other giveaways thread, somebody had trouble getting the whole thing to work (not sure if it was the reaction or something else).

It wasn't immediate for me. I had to give it a minute. Lots of people are there doing it, so the bot may be having trouble because of how many requests it is getting.
