[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

You're right friend and I agree.
On the other hand, I see people posting freebies 3 or 4 days ahead of time.
I mean 6 hours? fine. 1 day? That's a bit pushing but still fine.
It is still within the time range to remember and add it, which is the main point.
But 3 or even 7 days, who's gonna remember that?

So I think it doesn't hurt that I make a list at the end of the week in case people lose track.
I mainly make a list for myself anyway so I don't forget.
I might as well share it with the whole GOG family :).

Beats having someone miss out on a nice free game in my opinion.

I think it's a good idea, because some people check only one and not the other. After all, this thread is just a copy paste of the other one with a different title, personally I don't think there was a need for this thread at all.

Anyone else having trouble creating a Bigfish account in order to claim the games? I am getting the following error message: "We're sorry, but you do not currently meet the eligibility requirements to create a Big Fish account." The form only asks for an email address and a password, so the error does seem strange...

Wait, there's another thread? I'm looking at like a ton of others in other places, and honestly, there are super lists in several of them that are a bit dizzying to keep track of.

Actually, as the OP states, this thread was created just because there were disagreements about what the other was for, some also using it to post things that weren't temporary mass freebies, like code drops or asking for games, and repeated discussions failed to clear the matter because the OP wasn't very specific about it either. So the idea was to have a thread where the OP is specific, so there will be no more disagreements, and since there are other threads for the other things people were posting in that one as well, it sure seems like that one is the one that should be "buried". But yeah, some say that some people only have it favorited and don't check others, so they cross-post. See no harm in it, myself.
