It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

Says the devs are from Lebanon (can't say I've seen games made there before!), UTC+2.

One more, The Lonly Wall.
There's also Journey to Planet Earth, but that seems to be multiplayer only (even if it says 1 to 8 players), connection required, and partly in Italian.

How does this indie gala thing work, is this another game launching client necessary to install to use these free games?

No launcher/client, just downloadable archives. Extract them, run the executable and you should be good to go.

Like Grargar said, actually nothing to install at all for the freebies. Just found out myself a bit ago when I grabbed Ascension to the Throne and got a plain .zip with the installed game files, not even an installer, just unzip and run the .exe. Also means there's nothing to uninstall, so if any of these games would create anything in registry or drop files elsewhere, such as in the user folder, cleaning up would need to be manual, but no idea if any do or they're made to be self-contained like that.

It`s DRM-Free like GOG so no client needed to play (or download for that matter). You add it to your IG account library and can download it whenever you like after.

Can you only download them when they are free or are they saved to the account to download latter?

Saved to your account, and you can download them anytime you want.

yup. It is saved under your indiegala account. I wouldn't say forever because no one can guarantee that. This goes for any platform, including Steam. Best action is to save it onto your hard drive. At least the possession is within most of your control. Most games are packed in a portable size and not too much of a bother to store.
