Twitch Presents on Twitch.tv will host a marathon of over 500 episodes of the classic-only Doctor Who series along with sweepstakes and other stuff.

Mondays through Fridays they will typically show a 7-hour block repeated 3 times. This will continue through July 23, starting with the very first episode and concluding with the final episode, Survival.

Details can be found here: https://www.doctorwho.tv/whats-new/article/classic-doctor-who-comes-to-twitch-for-seven-week-marathon

Schedule here: https://www.doctorwho.tv/watch/twitch/

Though I'm looking forward to watching the Patrick Troughton years as I never got to see nearly any of them, I still don't know how I'm going to be able to see them all.
Unmanageable but lovely but unmanageable.

Nice! ... Can someone give me time to watch these?
Lovely! Glad I had a peek in the forums now.
Speechless!

Could do without the "twitch" part.

Why? Because of chat, or something else? You can ignore it, by clicking that arrow.

Anyway, I think that they did a great thing, bringing one of the longest British shows on TV. The problem is with time.
No one is going to watch the entire marathon. Not possible.
I wonder if they'll include the animated shorts or the Rowan Atkinson parody.

That's good (though I have no idea which is "that arrow" I don't even visit twitch ever). But because it's twitch and it's live for viewing together with chat it's almost useless to me. If they made those episodes available so that I could choose what to watch and when, it would be fantastic. This way, essentially hoping I will happen by sheer luck to catch a story I'm interested in from beginning to end when I can watch it, it's pretty much pointless.

My thoughts exactly. Would be nice to have these all available to watch at lesuire. Not creating some account on twatter alike to have some idiot talking all over it or having advertising at every two seconds. Several decades back we had most of them on video, never got round to copying them which is a shame. Don't suppose there is a complete collection on DVD anywhere, can't find one.

By seasons/ series - yes.

Well, looks like they're finally going to Bluray:

Complete collection? Probably be over a grand. Wouldn't be complete anyway since so many are still missing from the first 2 doctors.

The arrow is in the top right, right of Subscribe and Get Bits buttons. I think you are smart enough to open a website and figure out how it works.

They will probably do a lot of ads like they did with previous marathons. It's not cheap to stream one of the most famous TV shows for "free".

I seem to recall one of my clients "expressing their annoyance" with the number of adverts that placed on the Mister Rogers ones. I didn;t find out about it until afterwards.

I'm smart enough not to open twitch. Get off my lawn, dammit!
