I'm willing to wait for you GOG, if only you give the word!
The remaster will probably somehow ruin the first game, and can hardly fix the other two. So GOG release or no, I'll pass anyway.

Perhaps I should have been clearer, sorry. I'm willing to wait to buy it after it's released if I know that it's coming to GOG.

You want to keep the loot system of the older one? Where you get so much junk loot?

Not really an issue I had in mind :D

Currently, there is no official word as to which platforms the game will be released on.

Most likely, it will be released on Origin, Steam and Epic. It will likely not be released on GOG on launch day, and it is unknown how long it will take to be released afterwards (if at all), as GOG usually doesn't announce release dates for games already launched in other platforms.
So what exactly are they going to do with remasters to improve them?. graphics? everyone knows the story and the abortion of an ending...
Wasnt Andromeda a failure? Surprised there will be a new mass effect game tbh

I guess Breja is not talking about the totally useless inventory system. He's probably talking about ME2 and 3 beeing third person shooters instead of RPGs. The first assault rifles in Mass Effect 1 won't hit shit because bullets are spraying all over the place instead of shooting straight. This is what makes Mass Effect 1 not a shooter and thus the superior game ;P

Nah, honestly. Mass Effect 1 really needs a remake and not just a remaster. There's quite a few annoying things about the game (besides the already mentioned inventory and the ridiculous assault rifle). Especially planet exploration with the Mako to find all the minerals, artifacts and stuff. Or that there's basically only three different maps for a few dozen side missions. Don't get me wrong, Mass Effect 1 is great! But there are some annoying things about it, too. And a simple graphics update won't get rid of them.

Very rare a remaster is better than the original on PC. We'll see, but I'm not excited until I hear more.
The first one was by far the best. 2nd sucked donkey balls and 3 was OK except for the ending. Not really sure they need a remaster though... Probably just trying to milk the last ounce of money from the franchise.

It's funny, well not really, but how people feel about the differences between them. I think the first one is the best. The stronger RPG, the greater player agency, the grittier space opera humans rise as players in the galactic stage etc....I feel they let a lot of those things drop (including importance choices) in 2 and 3 for the boom boom visceral "romance? It's like THIS IS WAR - WHO CARES!" mindset. They went safe for 2 and especially 3...when what made Mass Effect great was that they dared to be different.

Regardless - I can't see myself buying a remaster or a remake if they're not here on GOG, as much as I'm a Mass Effect fanatic.

only in public, for the sane loner the game is perfectly playable which is an opinion you can even find back in whispers on the edges of the dreaded pc gaming scene.

the graphical improvements are mostly aimed at the console sector, them being like a 100 times more sales then on a p.c. and without having access to all those mods we pc geeks do it is primarily aimed at them though i, as a pc player probably will go for it too in the spring of 2021, first of all it is around my birthday and second the first game really is a beast to enjoy atm, even with ai enhanced graphics and all
I'd love to see this remaster end up on GOG because I'd purchase it here, no doubt about it. However, with EA's notoriety toward DRM and slightly scummy business practices, I can't really see that happening.

If you're on social media, could always keep hassling them politely. We have Dragons Age and Mirrors Edge here, there is always a chance!
