Digital_CHE: ...but, sadly, Square Enix and Feral Interactive are DRM lovers
avatar
mobutu: atm square enix has 29 drmfree games on gog
https://www.gog.com/games?devpub=square_enix&sort=title&page=1
Only Square Enix Europe subsidiary games.
And the newest is from 2005 (Total Overdose).
So yeah... it looks like Japanese Square Enix loves DRM.

zeffyr: I do worry though about the level of difficulty. From what I heard, there are no guidelines or hints and there are hundreds of little puzzles - what if I stuck on one? Has it happened to you during your playthrough?
avatar
Grilledfish: The game does teach you how everything works, but not explicitly, so generally, you should be able to solve every/most puzzles in the game just from what's in the game itself. If you come across something you can't solve or don't understand, you could always just leave it and go elsewhere, maybe come back later. That's usually the best option. There are hundreds of puzzles and you don't need to solve them all to finish the game.

There were two puzzles that I had trouble with. One of them, I thought about it overnight, and did the whole rubber ducky troubleshooting thing, and while trying random things to explain to myself what I know, I accidentally solved it. That was actually funny. I knew what needed to be done, but just didn't see the combination until I accidentally put it in.

The other one, I didn't solve on my own completely. I finished the game, but left that one alone. I looked up some hints and then went back to solve it.
Many thanks for the info :-) I'm leaning towards buying it now... :-)

Well...that's for you guys to find out :)
This sale has been okay, but I was hoping for Firewatch and VA-11 Hall-A, both of which were on sale this weekend on Steam (probably for less), but I want to buy them here to support these types of games on GOG. I got Undertale though!
Can I give a game to someone that I've earned through Xp?

If you already had a copy of said game from before, yes, otherwise, sorry to say, no.

Nice amount of games in GOG connect added today :-)

Depends. If you already own the game, you'll get a giftcode that you can give to someone else. If you don't own the game it will automatically be added to your library.

Oh I see! Thanks!
Finally, some Connect games.
That's much more interesting than any of the current deals.
