Aramandur: 2. IIRC there are checkpoints for every stage, but you can destroy checkpoint to get more points/money.
Do you have unlimited tries to repeat a stage or can you run out of lives or something? How long is a stage and what happens e.g. if you can't beat a boss and quit in order to try another day? Would you have to start the level from scratch, all progress lost?

hs1010: 4. Blast from a past. Great game, would be a perfect fit for the old Nintendo console. Music is really awesome. If you like Megaman, Ducktales, Super Mario 3 etc. for the old NES and if you own a controller, you'll most likely have fun with it. Only challenger would be the Shantae games, but I own both, so please don`t make me choose.
I own a controller, but apart from appreciating good pixel art, I don't have any connection to or passion for old NES games. I played the Shantae games for a bit but quickly lost interest in them due to all the backtracking and the respawning opponents. They look charming but felt a bit tedious to play ...

were those 300xp from yesterday's twitch awarded yet? Cause I don't think I've got it.

I really can't remember. I believe there's unlimited tries to repeat a stage.

You have unlimited tries for every stage, you just lose money everytime. Upgrades costs money, so this can be infuriating. Stages are rather long and have 6 checkpoints. It is fair but if you got stuck on a tough passage you`ll have to replay this part over and over until you get it right. If you exit a stage, you`ll lose all progress and have to start all over again.

You don't have backtracking in this game, you can replay levels for more loot/secrets and there are more weapons/upgrades, but it`s not a Metroidvania style game. There are bonus stages where you need special abilities to finish them, but all regular stages are playable with your starting equipment. Some just get easier with the right weapons.

Hmm, tough choice. I think this game is brilliant, but I'm not sure you`ll get the most out of it. Some passages are tough/nasty, coughairshipcough, and you can get stuck. Watch some videos, best advice I can give you.

Leroux: I have a few questions about Shovel Knight:

1. Is it completely up to date, regarding patches & content?
2. What kind of save system does it have?
3. How hard is it?
4. What are the main reasons for all the praise it gets?

Watch a Let`s play video, 10 minutes should tell you, if it`s up your alley.
Yeah, Shovel Knight is a great game! If you are a fan of the original 8-bit era, then this game is for you! The controls are fluid, and the game is tough, but fair. The soundtrack is great as well! I really wish the GOG version had the OST. :P

eiii: That's what I was doing when I realized that there are even more games on sale.

Not really. I have to go through 9 pages of games and GOGs filter possibilities are not really helpful. Is there any way to get all games which are on sale listed on one single page?

Yes, the front page is a pain to look through. But at least it's one page so that you can grab the games from it with a script and have a nice (text) list to look through. Unfortunately I had to discover now that this list is incomplete. :(
The "recently added" tab helps, if you check every day.
See the attached file for an interesting offer from the 'RECOMMENDED FOR YOU' section at 'MY PROMO STATUS'.

Who let the gremlins out?

Buy. Definitely buy. And then make more wishes. :)
Missed free Little Big Adventure 2? Take this code.

544FE-6CD76-6769A-F3942

I already have the game, so I don't need it.
Another weird encounter with an unavailable check-in box: today it became available at about 3:03pm, yesterday 3-ish, so my current hunch is that it becomes available 24 hours after my last check-in (for me, at least; as for whether that's what's supposed to happen...), and the timer is a work of elaborate fiction. But who knows...?

Edit: just now I went back to the page, today's box had gone unchecked again and the XP removed; when I checked it it kept flipping itself back to unchecked; a few reloads and minutes' wait later, it seems to work again, for now...

Pssst, can I make a wish?

I want an EA Bundle up to 90% off sale.
Still waiting for Van Helsing to go on discount later during the sale, so i can complete my XP bar for Victor Vran. If it's deemed as an item too fresh to be put on sale yet, i'll probably pad it out with Tropico 5 near the end of the sale.
I have unlocked the 3 games available through XP from sales...
Problem is: i already got each 3 of them...

Question: this time, do the codes i got by email have an expiration date ? I ask because i couldnt see any mention of that in the emails i got, while it was clearly stated in the previous unlockables that had expiration dates in previous sales...

Thank you for clarifying this matter
