vicklemos: Where's that nifty GOG.com bundle, huh? Some Warhammer games, General series... I ask myself that frequently! :P
avatar
mecharma: ...well then I have good news for you :)
If it doesn't involve an upgrade to GOTY of The Witcher 3 (for those of us bought the content as it became available) then it is just...meh
Nevermind.
It's allright now. =)

BTW, dear GOG fellows - is there any chance for new releases during sale ?
Something Nordic .... Like 'Imperium Gallactica' ? =)

No, there seems to be a delay. Many people have reported not getting the XP they're due, only to later update that they've got it.
What is the "check in" thing? Is there something in particular you have to do? I've got 3000 points and none are from that.

Scroll down on the promo status page, click the check in button.

deonast: That beamdog bundle really doesn't work out for me. Since I own all except for one I only get 15% off. That will teach me for buying outside of sales.
That's the full discount for Siege, 10% alone, 15% if at least 3 games from that bundle are selected (or owned). The older ones are at 67/75%, but not that.

You get 100 xp each time you check in and you can check in once a day for the duration of the sale. If you check in 7 times you get "ON A FIRST-NAME BASIS" badge.

Got it. Apparently I stopped scrolling too soon!

LiefLayer: I think the xp this time is not enough to reach the first free game. with 7 days check in you can get 700 xp + 3000 xp.... after that there are two events where you can get 300 xp (since there are 2 events you can get 600xp).
= 4300 xp.

there are still 700 xp to get the first game.

Still Little big adventure 2 for free is a really good deal.

Maybe if there will be a sale on Aladdin, mirror's edge, Crysis... I will buy something during this sale
700+3500, since 7 checkins earn you an additional 500 as per the FAQ. And wasn't it 300 for first goal, another 200 for the second last time? Or smth of the sort...

According to sale faq you also earn 500 xp if you get the badge:
HOW DO I CHECK IN?
Checking in is really simple: every day during the Monstrous Fall Sale you can visit your XP page and click the Check In button at the bottom of the page. You'll have 24 hours for each check-in and when you get 7 of them you will be awarded the "On a First-Name Basis" badge that earns you 500 XP.
avatar
Roxolani: No Shovel Knight?
It's only day 1... but expect only 33%... if anything...

Cavalary: 700+3500, since 7 checkins earn you an additional 500 as per the FAQ. And wasn't it 300 for first goal, another 200 for the second last time? Or smth of the sort...
still not 5000xp if you are right.
just 4700 xp

But the sale is for 10 days, not only 7. ;)

But read further...there are Twitch goals...get 300 xp a pop for everyone...stuff like that. Pretty sure it's rigged where you will reach 5000 with effort.

Hasn't been a sale yet where you didn't get the minimum for free unless you missed a day.

Yeah, GoG, exp either isn't added correctly or takes a very long time to process. I bought games worth some 10k experience and got nothing added to my progress. Additionally I visited the galaxy page and the wallet and did not get the badges for either of them. Please fix.
I did get the exp for having a gog account and for "checking in"

Edit: Nevermind it just took some time to process. Sorry for the complain, everythings fine.

Just be patient, refresh (the page and yourself), there is a slight delay with the update.
The GOGBear has a lot of work just now.

Fine :)
