mrkgnao: Assuming they read that thread...
I assume so, at least Johny and Judas seem to have a look at it from time to time. The handling of my last two support requests does not encourage me to contact the GOG support if I do not have to and doesn't let me think it would be more helpful to contact the support instead of posting in that thread.

Sent Johny a PM too when you mentioned it, got a reply saying it was passed to devs.

mrkgnao: ... MaGog is changing. It is moving into what I have termed "Legacy Mode"....

As to the why, in case it is not obvious: MaGog refuses to support a store that offers games with in-game purchasing (and so do I).
Thank you for the years of service. The GOG catalog has been increasingly difficult to navigate since it exceeded a few hundred titles. The larger sales in the last few years would have been too time consuming to take advantage of if it had not been for your work.

I do not understand your reasons, but I don't need to to support your decisions about your product. I will miss it.

mrkgnao: [...] 2) In Dev games: Even though I don't really consider these as released, I decided to leave them be.
Quick question, just to be absolutely clear - will these still be tracked after they're properly released? Or will their release date equate them with any other game released after May 24, 2017?

They'll be tracked also after release.

I consider them to be not too different from "season passes", i.e. games released before being complete (like, currently, "Kentucky Route Zero", "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy", and "Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms").

Thanks for the clarification, and the prompt reply.

What about regional availability (region blocking) of titles? Is that still being tracked? GOG has retroactively blocked several titles already as I'm sure you know.

For games released (including released in dev) up to 23/5/17 (+ their future DLCs) everything is tracked and will continue to be tracked just as before, including regional blocking.

For games released on or after 24/5/17, nothing is tracked.

The second I realized, but I wasn't sure about the first. Thanks.
Nvm.

Well... this is very sad news to me.
I've been using MaGog for keeping track of updates to games for some time now, as part of my solution for manually backing up my collection. I haven't bought a game here in ages, certainly not after 2017-05-24, so I'm glad I'll still be able to use it the exact same way as before.
For that and for your efforts in the past as well, I'd like to thank you very much, MaGog has been an invaluable resource.

I've left the forums after the introduction of regional pricing (and haven't ever bought a game with that pricing model), checking in only every once in a while, so I actually didn't learn of this inclusion of in-game transactions until now. Apparently there are even other new issues as well, there are more and more reasons not to buy games here...

mrkgnao: GOG. GOG never changes.

Some of you old timers (if there are any left...), who have been around when GOG reached 1,000 catalogue items, may remember that GOG had a serious bug back then that lasted for weeks, whereby despite having more than 1,000 games, the catalogue was unable to display more than 20 pages (i.e. was limited to displaying only 1,000 games). That bug was called the "Y1K" bug.

Well, guess what? GOG now has a "Y2K" bug. Now that GOG has 2,001 games, one would expect page 41 of the catalogue to have one game in it. But, no, the page is empty. It seems GOG is now limited to 40 catalogue pages.

Luckily, I kept the temporary workaround I used for the Y1K bug in MaGog's code. I reactivated it just now and updated the code to adjust for changes that GOG had made over the years. It seems to work, but it's temporary (should be ok for a few weeks) and it has some minor side-effects.

Someone might want to tell GOG...
Just a quick update - this should be fixed.

Thanks. Indeed it is.

Do you happen to know when the next iteration of this feature will trigger again? At 2,500? At 3,000?
