So, since there's 10 of us, but the code on the piece of smurfment speaks about 9, does any smurf here have any early hypothesis they'd like to share about what types of role or behaviour we might be able to expect for the 10th smurf?

I think knowing that could help figure out what we might be facing in the 10th (ally, foe, neutral?) , but again, probably best to keep thoughts to selves at this point.

Some possibilities / a likely direction to think in would help prevent me from drawing faulty conclusions based on the matrix, and thus prevent me from becoming a liability for town. Meanwhile I'm assuming that general ideas at this early stage wouldn't be anything that scum wouldn't be able to come up with on their own.

...but given that I just see that drealmer also thinks it's a bad idea to share speculation now, I figure this is the voice of experience speaking, and will just continue reading up on that wiki to try and get fully up to speed on my own.

The 10th role is probably balanced, more or less. Beyond that, it is on a need to know basis, and nobody needs to know right now.

If you have non-setup-specific questions, ask. Trying to tease out the current setup isn't a town move at this point.
