Just watched the above film. Gotta love it, does what it says on the tin. Charlie Sheen as president.

Can't tell if Mel Gibson is just being himself though, or if they asked him to act like a lunatic. Is the first one as good (/bad you know)?
I've only seen the first movie and absolutely loved it so much I shit bricks. Still haven't seen the sequels despite the fact I'm excited about them. I really need to fix that sometime soon as Machete was totally f'n awesome.
If you enjoyed Danny Trejo in Machette, you might also like the movie Bad Ass.

It's the first movie in a series of goofy, over-the-top action films. The sequel -- Bad Ass 2: Bad Asses -- even includes Danny Glover as a sidekick!

I'd say the first one is better, really.
He has a new show on NatGeo or Discovery channel about snakes. A lot of fun but he overdoes it just a tad. :P

Is that the faux-documentary where he investigates different religions' interpretations of hell? Ya know, the one where he starts each episode with the cheesy voiceover that says "I'm Danny Trejo, and I'm probably going to Hell."

*edit: Just looked it up. It's a show on Nat Geo and it's called Map of Hell

I liked it when I watched it. I think the first one was better though.

YEAH.

Why did I say snakes? :P Man, senility is a bitch.
Danny Trejo FTW, the ultimate badass hero (along with Kurt Russell & Jason Momoa). If you liked Machette, take a look in Planet Terror & Grindhouse too. I found them very entertaining films but to be honest, I generally like mr Rodriguez's & Tarantino's films.
Danny Trejo is 72 years old.
[pause for effect]
Let me say that once more: Danny Trejo is seventy-fucking-two years old. A septuagenarian. Twice my age! (And could probably still kick the shit out of me without even setting down his glass of Metamucil.)

Well, Planet Terror was a good movie, but Death Proof was boring.
That movie was awesome.

Death Proof was a slow burn; it all built up to the last half-hour or so, which was pretty awesome. Some movies can be called "revenge flicks" -- Death Proof was more of a "comeuppance flick". It's definitely an acquired taste, though.
