Can't help but feel real disappointment. No Adventure Games? We've known for a long time about the Grim remake. Lucasarts/Lucasfilm swept Classic Adventure Fans under the carpet once. Getting that Ground-hog Day feeling.
Not sure whether Disney knows what LAEC was actually good at and for. ;)

But, hey, Grim Fandango. ;) ;)

For GOG's sake I hope there will be many more LucasArts titles, for my sake I hope they will release Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion and a rest of Monkey Islands and then be done with it and move on :D.

It means an impressive achievement, though. GOG picked a handful of titles I ever cared about from the vast catalog and placed it in first 2 waves. :)
Jedi Knight... finally... my childhood :3

I, as many others, think Jedi Academy is superior in terms of gameplay. But I'm glad they put up JK+MotS first. Such a classic!
Oh come on... More SW titles and no adventures?

Yeah, I was hoping to see Outlaws.

Grargar: But it was one wave...
... in 3 doses.
The correct name of today's releases is "Lucasfilm on GOG.com: Wave II: Star Wars™: Episode III: Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Star Wars™ Republic Commando and Star Wars™ Starfighter™"
To be honest: I was also waiting for Rebel Assault I and II. Admittedly, they are both really dated, but especially Rebel Assault I is a true classic that (besides of the "7th Guest", which was kind of lame for hardcore gamers) pushed the sales of the first DVD ROM drives in 1993. I own the original from 1993 and still have it in my shelf, however, having an undestroyable digital copy for 1.99-3.99 would have been an instant buy (at least for RA I).
And where is the second true classic "Day of the Tentacle"? I am also missing The Dig, Outlaws and Full Throttle.

I also hope that this was not the last LucasArts wave...

BTW: I would also hope getting C64 and more Amiga emulated titles in the future too, speaking of the great "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (because of better-than-DOS-quality on Amiga) as well as "Maniac Mansion" and "Zak" (besides of a "real" retro/nostalgic pack of Ballblazer, The Eidolon and Rescue on Fractalus).
Of course, thinking of ScummVM, Vice and WinUAE, you can already play them when you have the disks or images, but like all the preconfigured DOSbox game packages here at GOG.com, it´s so much more comfortable to just press "install" and "run" to get them working, just like "insert" and "play" on consoles.

It will probably just take some time.
no pod racer huh? pitty.
Thank you so much GOG ... I missed playing Rebellion for so long ... I still have the original disc from when it was it first released, plus the manual and even the poster that came with it but was never able to get it to run quite right on win 7 ... you must have some real geniuses working over there ... I was a little worried that my memory was deceiving me and it wasn't really as good as I remember ... but it really is and I'm in love with it all over again ... you guys are the best
Very happy for the Star Wars fans, but...
does this conclude the Star Wars avalanche and leave space for other, more legendary LucasArts titles?
Thanks GOG for another bunch of SW games:)
It`s great to see some of these Star wars games DRM free which I will very soon purchase pretty much ALL of them .

It seems to me that Disney are `cleaning out the attic` of all old StarWars stuff they didn`t make and GOG got there at the right time to snap it up.

However, I think all this will stop with any new Disney releases. I`ll bet all new releases from Disney will be heavily DRMed in one way or another. I`ll lay money on it.

This is probably as good as it gets with Star Wars for the forseeable future, I`m afraid.
