We also made a promise to bring you many more cult-classics in the future and, believe us, we did not forget.

Today, with great pride and joy, we're excited to announce Wave II of Lucasfilm games on GOG.com! Starting right now, six new Star Wars™ classics are available in our DRM-free Lucasfilm/Disney catalog. Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II
Star Wars™: Dark Forces
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™

Just in case you missed your chance last time, you can grab three more Lucasfilm classics for the same 20% discount, until Friday, January 30, at 1:59 PM GMT!
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Our Lucasfilm/Disney is made that much more impressive today thanks to our team-up with ©Disney Interactive. The 6 new Star Wars™ releases, which include 3 digital premieres exclusively on GOG.com, are barely the beginning. We're not saying more right now, but we know the wait will be worth it for six great reasons - keep watching the front page and stay tuned for more exciting Lucasfilm titles releasing on GOG.com when the timer strikes zero!

Kolzig: Just hope that you do release all the classic adventure games before releasing crap stuff like Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.
For me, the "crap stuff category" games are the point and click adventures.

avatar
Kolzig: Also yes, we do need to get all the more obscure stuff as well, like the marvellous Outlaws and Afterlife etc.
However, I have to agree here.

+1 for Afterlife and Outlaws
+ Star Wars Racer
+ Armed and Dangerous
+ Secret Weapons Over Normandy

MonstroDaFisica: Now waiting for the original Battlefront, Republic Commando and Jedi Knight games.
avatar
tinyE: RC should be here on Tuesday.
I believe Jedi Knight games will be release and that Republic Commando will too. I don't think the original Battlefront will be released next week (feel free to prove me wrong on this, GOG) but I hope it will someday.

Heresy!

The three games to be released here on Tuesday will be:

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
Republic Commando
Starfighter

Nothing else is known so far.

Source.
Pathetic: I've had Starfighter on disc for 2 years and I don't think I've ever installed it. :P

Is it because it's such a pathetic game? :P
(Nope, haven't played it.)

Shit Star Wars games are still great games! :D I just wish my monthly bandwidth would turn over so I could download some of these bad boys!

Sorry, but a shit game is a shit game,I don't care what franchise it is.
And in the last decade of their existence, Lucasarts made more then it's share of shitty Star Wars games.

F4LL0UT: Daaaamn... X-Wing Alliance and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter... including Balance of Power... holy shit, holy shit, holy shit... and finally a chance to play Galactic Battlegrounds which I missed back in the day and never saw in stores again. That's two Star Wars games I haven't played even once! Absolutely awesome!
Again I love the fact that star wars games are on GOG because I finally get to play galactic battlegrounds (And maybe a fully win 8 compatilble kotor 1 and 2 if I ever decide to pick them up), considering that aoe 2 is one of my all time favoutite games and i've wanted to play it for a while. Also, i've discovered rebellion and Rogue squadron 3D which both look pretty cool and is something that I may pick up too.

ReynardFox: I think Jedi Outcast had a better story, but IMO Jedi Academy is the pinnacle of the series from a gameplay standpoint.
avatar
Siegor: Is that the one with Kyle Katarn? If yes, then I agree about the story but I really loved the lightsaber-play in Academy.
You are right. Personally I prefer academy but outcast is decent even though I never finished it.. These are already on steam so there probably isn't as much or a rush to get these on steam. Excited that jk1 is on there if it is cheaper than steam I will get.

LosT_SouL_VL: Me and a bunch of friends did play a lot of outlaws team deathmatch on the zone. Outlaws was the game that made me buy a diamond monster voodoo so i could play 3dfx outlaws. I still have the big carton outlaws box but i never managed to install and play outlaws on my new rigs.
avatar
szczerbi: You can try with VMware Player and older OS, if it's giving you problems during installation on recent Windows. There are also some 3dfx wrappers which let you run 3dfx games with acceleration on new 3D cards. But I'm not sure if this is what you meant by "never managed to install", so my apologies if I misunderstood.
I never managed to install it on my new rigs because the setup file on the original outlaws cd-rom doesn't work on 64 bit operating systems.
avatar
LosT_SouL_VL: Outlaws was a very enjoyable FPS where you have to go after outlaws and their henchman. It had plenty of weapons and ennemies and it was a very good multiplayer then on the microsoft gaming zone or the zone for short. It received good reviews and a free 2.0 upgrade that added 4 more missions and a extra playable character.

The stock missions were like in a fort, a western city, caverns, a train, an estate house...

I really hope that outlaws together with SWOTL will also come to GOG someday :-)
avatar
dudalb: Outlaws received good reviews but sales were weak. But it did gain a loyal ,though small, following.

Game itself actually works fairly well on a modern system, but it has the "16 bit installer problem" the game is 32 bit but the installer itself is 16 bit and will not work on a 64 bit system. There are work arounds but they are a pain in the butt.
I suspect this one will be on GOG, though.
You hit the ball straight of the bat. Outlaws doesn't install on 64 bit systems, be it WIN XP 64 or WIN 7 64.

2 Hours and counting.

Republic Commando, here I wait for you!
Knowing what's coming has made this wait pointless and annoying.

Hurry the butt up timer, give me Republic Commando. >.<
